LVD, headquartered in Gullegem, has long been a world-leading manufacturer of a comprehensive range of sheet metal working machinery and software solutions: laser cutting systems, punch presses, press brakes, guillotine shears and mid-level automation systems, integrated into and supported by CADMAN PC-based Windows-compatible software.

The company was formed in 1952 as LV by partners Lefebvre and Vanneste to produce hydraulic presses. LVD Company s.a. was formed in 1954 when the third partner, Dewulf, joined. Since 1952, this family business has grown to an organization of more than 1,200 employees in 45 countries worldwide. Meanwhile LVD is run by the 2^the generation of 3 families and is well established with production facilities in Belgium, China, France, Slovakia and USA.

With its extensive product range, LVD is able to offer a solution to customers from different industries and sectors with their own needs and requirements. For example, their range consists of entry-level, mid-range level and high end-level machines.

LVD has implemented the World Class Manufacturing initiative to increase capacity, reduce waste and ensure product quality. The company always ensures the continuous development of its production methods and efficiency. In addition, LVD continues to invest in research and development.

In the last year, LVD was able to unveil a number of new innovations including the Electra 4 kW fiber laser cutting machine with even more powerful and faster performance, and the ability to combine the Electra with the new flexible automation (FA-L).

Furthermore, the most versatile punching technology was developed with the new Strippit PX series. The Strippit PX offers the flexibility to punch, form, bend and tap with a single machine.

Finally, in the software segment, TOUCH-i4 was developed, a technology with Industry 4.0 in mind. This powerful Windows-based tablet, provides an overview of the entire production workshop.
