The latest addition to that list is the Puma fiber laser cutting machine. With it, LVD introduces a fiber laser cutting machine with high-tech features and performance in a less expensive design. Puma has laser power of 3, 6 or 12 kW in sizes 3,050×1,525 mm, 4,065×2,035 mm and 6,160×2,035 mm, and can be equipped with automation. The flexible machine can be used for various cutting applications.

LVD's newest laser cutting machine answers the growing demand for versatile, cost-effective laser cutting equipment that allows companies to perform even more varied laser cutting jobs in-house at a lower unit cost. With high-quality features, Puma delivers optimal cutting performance at an economical price. Robust construction ensures reliable operation. The one-piece welded steel frame provides the stability to cut at high speed while maintaining excellent quality. 

Advanced cutting head, top dynamics

The Puma cutting head uses the latest technology for consistent quality and process stability. The cutting head features collision detection, motorized focus position control and capacitive height sensor, and automatic plate detection, cutting gas selection, gas pressure control and nozzle cleaning. High machine dynamics ensure high cutting productivity in a wide range of material types and thicknesses.

Automation Benefits

Thanks to Puma's change table system, which loads/unloads one table while cutting materials on the other, throughput remains optimal. A table change takes only 35 seconds. To maximize laser cutting output and cutting efficiency, Puma can be equipped (also retrofitted) with a modular MOVit automation system, including a Compact Tower (CT-L) for loading, unloading and material/parts storage, Flexible Automation (FA-L), an advanced loading/unloading system, a Tower Automation System (TAS) for single or double tower storage, or a Warehouse Automation System (WAS) for flexible storage.
