Hunger for innovative sheet metal processing technology

There will be plenty to discover at LVD's booth at EuroBLECH. In hall 12, booth F104, solutions Made in Belgium will be on hand for maximum productivity. From budget-friendly laser cutting technology to XXL benches, from the latest generation of CADMAN software to panel bending technology. "We are showcasing ingenious technology to keep the journey from 'art to part' for the customer as short and efficient as possible," summarizes Group Marketing Director Matthew Fowles of the latest solutions on the stand,.

Fowles tells us LVD is deploying a LaserCube this year to demonstrate the versatility of its laser cutting technology. "The philosophy we have for all the machines we develop is to find the perfect balance between price and performance. We can demonstrate on the LaserCube high-tech features such as nanojoints (to make it easier to remove the pieces from the skeleton) for those who want to automate reliably, for example, or bevel cutting (up to 50°) for those who want to prepare their weld edges already while cutting. In addition, as a first, we offer a brand new laser cutting machine that we built as cost-efficiently as possible, resulting in the lowest price per piece. Still the LVD quality mark, but without the bells and whistles. An ideal entry point for those thinking about insourcing laser cutting, for example."

Seventy years of bending technology

In bending, LVD also comes with a challenging range of offerings. From manual bending of large sheets to robotic bending of various pieces. "The Easy-Form 9 400/40, with a compression force of 400 tons, is the largest bending bench we have ever shown at EuroBLECH. The machine will bend effectively and it will be impressive, you won't fail to notice," Fowles promises. "We are reserving a separate area to show interested customers all our capabilities in XXL sheet metal. The latest robotic bending cell Easy-Cell 80/25 combines an Easy-Form bending bench with an industrial robot. "As with our other bending cells, the robot and bending program are generated automatically. With the addition of an adaptive bending system and interchangeable robotic grippers, the cell offers additional accuracy and flexibility."

Solution for panel bending

New to LVD's bending technology offering are the Multifold panel benders. They offer fully automatic loading, folding and stacking of workpieces from 2,100 millimeters in materials up to 2 millimeters thick in cold-rolled steel and bending heights up to 110 millimeters. "We didn't try to copy what was already there, but started from what customers need today in panel bending. And then you see that there too flexibility and efficiency are at the top of the wish list. That is exactly the added value that our panel benders bring: cost efficiency combined with a powerful automation solution."

Software for better flow

Perfect flow between all production processes is ensured by the CADMAN® software suite. With the new CADMAN® Flow generation, that will happen faster and more efficiently than ever before. "Such as an improved process overview, a smooth ERP connection and faster and more efficient bending solutions to reduce lead times. By grouping orders intelligently, fewer tool changes are needed and productivity goes up. We won't reveal all the details yet; the demo running at EuroBLECH will. But we can already say that we are greatly speeding up the process from a 3D file to machine code to finished product."
