For nearly forty years, Alnapress has been an expert in the machining of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. From raw material, via eccentric or hydraulic pressing, bending and assembly, to a finished end product. With passion, know-how and targeted investments, this family business from Tielt, Belgium, succeeds in guaranteeing customers a wider range and even better service.
"The focus is on customers; our entrepreneurial spirit is one of investing. We continue to invest in machinery that can meet their standards, requirements and changing needs. There are three values that during my long career in sales have always helped me build a long-term relationship: provide quality in terms of product and service, work correctly and respect the customers," says Peter Wicke, who is responsible for sales within Alnapress.
"Every company, at home and abroad, has its own requirements and specifications. Everything with us is therefore customized. Industrial pressing is our specialty, but customers can also come to us for all bending and cutting work. We start from the raw material - steel, stainless steel or aluminum - and can eventually deliver a finished and assembled end product to the customer. We operate in a wide variety of sectors: automotive, industrial pumps, construction, racking, furniture, horticulture, and so on."
Alnapress produces the most diverse pieces - small or large, simple or complex. In the process, great importance is attached to quality.
For all orders -small or large pieces, simple or complex- Alnapress attaches great importance to product quality, production efficiency, cost reduction and delivery within the agreed deadline. The obtained ISO9001 and EN1090 certificates prove that all standards are strictly observed and that the company's quality guarantee is not an empty promise.
"Our diversified machinery is a crucial asset for responding to the various, often demanding demands of our customers. Today we have a lot of different machines, including bending benches, cutting machines, but especially a lot of presses. There are hydraulic presses with capacities ranging from 100 to 3,000 tons, several stand-alone eccentric presses for inlays ranging from 20 to 400 tons, and several press lines ranging from 80 to 800 tons," indicates manager Nathalie Laitem. "However, we could never achieve our objectives without the drive and dedication of our employees and suppliers, who use their knowledge and experience every day to help customers. Thus, together they look for a suitable solution for every question or challenge. This allows us to work very efficiently and flexibly."
The market is evolving rapidly and customers are becoming increasingly demanding. For years, investing has been part of Alnapress' DNA. "It is precisely thanks to these targeted investments that we can distinguish ourselves from others and, for example, deliver products that even we were not able to make before with the available machines. Even a slowdown in the market in no way stops us from further expanding and optimizing our machinery. For example, last year we built a new production hall, which houses five additional pressing lines: three of 800 tons, one of 630 tons and one of 500 tons. Today, three of those lines are already operational and we want to have the other two production lines up and running soon as well. This investment makes us unique in Belgium."
"However, there is more: we will also soon start installing our new feed line, which we will put into operation from September. With it we will be able to process 20-ton coils, specifically 600 x 12 mm, 800 x 10 mm and 1000 x 8 mm. The line will be coupled with another additional large matching press. By adjusting our processes to both reduce costs and increase efficiency, we are also contributing to a cleaner planet. We were already investing in sustainability by installing solar panels and charging stations and replacing our forklifts with electric models. So we are continuing our mission towards an even greener, sustainable future step by step."
Finally, at Alnapress, they do not shy away from any challenge and produce even the most complex workpieces, which are fully customized to the customer's needs and requirements and meet the highest quality standards.
