Technical profiles delivering their business card

The scarcer the technical talent on the market, the more interesting outsourcing becomes. Especially with Metis' approach. After all, the company was created when manager Nicolas De Braeve ran into the same problems. So he knows what is important: the right profiles, flexible formulas, short lines of communication and a straightforward mentality. Because above all, you want to be helped out of a jam and keep your production running.

Building a rock-solid reputation in a short period of time. That's what Metis has done since its founding in 2019. "From his own family business, Nicolas experienced firsthand how difficult it is today to find good people. He wanted to make a virtue of this need. By putting together a strong team with a wide range of technical talents, he wanted to help other companies move forward. With a strong focus on industry. After all, the current economic situation calls for a more flexible labor market. Today you can use an extra pair of technical hands, tomorrow you might not. Outsourcing is the perfect answer," said Metis sales manager Martijn Koekuyt.

Metis is more than a company. It is a close-knit family: Martijn Koekuyt: "Our people are our calling card. The better they do their job, the more we can grow."

Making a difference

Metis is not the only player active in this field, but the strong growth of the first years proves that the company can make a difference. "First and foremost with our professionals, of course. We have electricians, mechanics, electricians, pipefitters welders, panel builders ... you name it, in the ranks. They are our calling card. The better they do their jobs, the more we can grow. So we invest hard to provide them with high-quality equipment and impeccable work clothes. But we also provide the necessary training so they can do safe work. For example, everyone has a VCA certificate. A third factor is listening carefully to them so that there is a match with the client and with the range of tasks." Metis currently employs thirty permanent technicians, who work all over West and East Flanders.

Added value created

Realizing that match is what Metis is all about. "For both the technician and the client, it has to feel right. Therefore, we start from a straightforward mentality and try to be as responsive as possible. We listen carefully to our clients to know what skills and mindset they are looking for. Then we look for the right M, V or X and the right formula, for a fixed or indefinite period. There really has to be added value. Our customers have to like our employees. Conversely, our employees must like working for our customers. Safety, for example, must be guaranteed."

Every Metis employee holds a VCA certificate.

Building further

And the future? "We are obviously still looking for new technical profiles. If we sense a scarcity in the market somewhere, we will certainly capitalize on it. But it is not our intention to become a mastodon. We don't want to lose touch with our people. That will always remain the basis. Behind the scenes, however, we are continuing our efforts to digitize. Early next year we will introduce a new automatic platform where the customer has a clear overview of all services provided, but where he can also find the certificates of our employees. Simple and transparent," concludes Koekuyt.
