Jan Crispyn has a very clear and distinct passion. From grandfather to father and from father to son. Because machining and everything to do with it is in his blood. And all this know-how, experience and family passion are deeply woven into the DNA of Crispyn Machines. Because just like in the old days, the Crispyn family still loves the chips under their soles, the smell of metal and cooling. In short, the love for the trade!
Jan Crispyn, owner Crispyn Machines: "When my father Wilfried started the company in 1982, as a child I walked around the store every Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Milling and turning was my thing. Machining was really like a miracle for me, how you brought mechanics to life with those machines had something magical. And I still feel that. My interest in machining was so great that technical school was an obvious choice. I graduated in 1994. Meanwhile, my father had just built the first shed, in the Ambachtenlaan in Maldegem. Where we are still today."
"We started as a pure service company, before we started selling machines ourselves. And after all these years, our knowledge in machinery and mechanical engineering has increased particularly significantly. Moreover, we insist on sharing our knowledge with customers, and this is more than just a service - it is our core philosophy. This is because we believe in a relationship that goes beyond a mere purchase. You are not alone, even after the purchase. We are there to support, guide and advise."
"Moreover, we want to emphasize that each machine in our range is not just randomly chosen. We strive to offer only the best and most appropriate solutions to our customers, because we believe that that expertise adds value to every machine we provide. So when you partner with us, you can be confident that you are not only buying a machine, but also the experience and knowledge that comes with it."
"We are ardent supporters of High-Mix Low-Volume (HMLV) Manufacturing. That's the process of producing a wide variety of products in small quantities. And all the machines we sell are geared to that."
"Certainly our ProtoTRAK machines. With ProtoTRAK you can effortlessly turn or mill any workpiece, without any programming knowledge whatsoever. So making CNC parts, without any knowledge of CNC. The goal of ProtoTRAK is to get you machining as fast as possible. No hassle with codes or complex dialogs. As you enter the requested data, the drawing forms. ProtoTRAK even allows you to guess or point to a dimension on the screen. It also imports various file types effortlessly. Think CAD/CAM, DXF, Parasolid and many other files."
"Such machines, by the way, will become increasingly important. After all, there is a hefty outflow of knowledge and experience going on in the labor market. But a lot of pieces still need to be produced. So now much of that knowledge is in the machines. Which also makes it safer to work. Ideal for the future slimmed-down labor market," concludes Jan Crispyn.
