The group, founded in 1946 by M. Isamu AMADA, today has more than 80 companies and affiliates around the world.
The founder, who originally specialized in band saws, gave a new impetus to the company by focusing on the production of machines for processing flat sheets. 60 years and 3,100 patents later, the group has nearly 6,400 employees.
Today, the group is one of the world leaders within its category.
This success is due, in part, to the principles promulgated by M. AMADA:
- Moving forward together with our customers
- Developing our human potential in the field of creation
- Taking on technological challenges
- Have an ethical attitude in all our actions
- Respecting people and the environment
The company's development strategy today is strongly influenced by the search for increasing productivity and flexibility combined with reducing energy consumption and preserving the environment.
AMADA has several production sites around the world, including 3 in France.
These are responsible for producing the full range of products distributed by the European commercial subsidiaries.
These factories also have a strategic purpose:
Indeed, these ensure a sustainable supply of machines to the European subsidiaries at the best cost and allow regulation of production flows.
