Standing still is going backwards. The past year has been one of development for ProfitPlus. Not only in terms of the number of customers. Numerous new modules were also developed at the request of and in cooperation with those customers. For example, it recently launched Sprint, a simplified version of its ERP package that allows companies to get to work digitally in no time. "If they still want more options in the long run, this can be done very easily through our modular approach. The intention is to lower the threshold even further, so that everyone finds what they like in our business software," says Wouter Fonteyn, head of sales ProfitPlus.
Listening to customers and acting as a strategic partner. For ProfitPlus, that forms the basis, right from the very beginning. "That's why we wanted to do it differently from most ERP packages and really build that bridge between all commercial, logistics and financial business processes with one comprehensive package. Our business software is the backbone between the production floor and the office. That way, customers can take real leaps forward in efficiency, time savings and quality."
A second pillar of the ProfitPlus package is ease of use. "An ERP package has to work quickly and you also have to find what you need quickly. We tinkered with the standard flows this year and introduced an optimized search engine to further increase that ease of use."
So ProfitPlus is always looking ahead to see how things can get better. "We take a modular approach. Customers therefore only have to choose those modules that can be of added value to them. But of course we also use customer input to develop new modules that meet their needs." A good example is the project module. "Companies that are organized on a project basis work differently than classic production companies. They often involve a jumble of steps that need to happen, internally and externally, to bring a project to completion. Above all, they need to have insight into the progress of the project. How far along are we? What are the next steps? What about the budget? We give them that insight."
Yet for many companies, the barrier to switching to ERP still remains high. "Of the benefits it brings, they are convinced, but they sometimes lack the time and resources to take the step." To support those companies as well, ProfitPlus launched Sprint this year. "Small companies or start-ups don't always need a lot of bells and whistles. But they too want to create a digital flow in their administration. Our standard solution was therefore stripped down to the basic procedures and the implementation time was also reduced tremendously. So ERP can be up-and-running very easily. But they still have a solution in their hands that starts from that holistic approach, that can link the production floor and the administration. And best of all? If they grow further, they can easily upgrade to the full package. Without having to start from scratch again."
The list of new developments this year further includes a complete quality control system. "This allows you to build quality controls into your production automatically. After each operation, the operator can perform a number of checks. If the product does not comply, then it cannot move on to the next operation. That way you won't have any expensive surprises at the end."
In addition, several configurators were added. "For example, to immediately make a quotation based on a number of parameters. Then you immediately have the bill of materials and other documentation with it. Very fast, very simple." The WMS module for warehouse management was also further optimized based on customer input. So it is no exaggeration that a huge amount has been developed at ProfitPlus this year. "A process that will never end here. By being close to our customers, we are always trying to get better. For next year, for example, the updated service app with additional in-depth functionalities is planned."
