Ergonomics is higher and higher on the agenda of business leaders. Especially in the metal industry, where operators' backs are not spared. Heavy, difficult-to-handle loads are often involved. In recent years, therefore, more robots (and cobots) have been popping up near machine tools to load and unload pieces into and out of the machine. In sheet metal working, in turn, they are high tower warehouses that guide sheets to and from the table of laser cutting machines. "Technology that unfortunately doesn't provide a solution for everyone. Sometimes there just isn't the space, in other cases the budget is lacking or just that little bit more flexibility is required to take repetitive, heavy work out of the hands of operators," says Managing Director Thierry Reverse.

Nothing happens from a distance, they literally have the piece in their hands, but without the heavy load," Reverse clarifies. "There they can also immediately see the different types at work. There are about a dozen of them on display. But they can also try out the possibilities available in terms of tooling. Because that's the last piece of the puzzle. The clamp, hook or gripper (with suction cups or magnets) must be able to manipulate the customer's pieces safely, reliably and without risk of damage. For this, too, we provide tailor-made solutions, but in the metal industry it is sometimes the customers themselves who design the tooling. We calculate everything down to the last detail before the engineering team in Italy starts working on it. There, the tooling is also always tested extensively with the customer's material first. Only then is it transferred here and we take care of installation, maintenance and further service."
