Magnetic drills are an ideal solution for drilling holes in the thickest and strongest materials on site and in any position. Thanks to their integrated magnet, they stand firmly on the surface, reducing vibration when drilling. With the MagPro family, Jepson Power developed a range of high-quality magnetic drills for a wide variety of applications. Now the manufacturer introduces the MagPro - Prime Line, with different types for drilling holes up to 200 mm in diameter.
Jepson Power is celebrating its fortieth anniversary. The company from Eschweiler, Germany, has become one of the market leaders in portable metal circular saws, high-speed Drytech® saw blades, magnetic drills and special machines. Innovation runs like a thread through its history. Among other things, the company is the inventor of the well-known Dry Cutter technology for cutting steel, stainless steel and composite materials without cooling. Furthermore, new saw blades are developed on a regular basis so that the highest quality can be guaranteed for every application.
"Today, with the MagPro - Prime Line, we are greatly expanding our range of magnetic drilling machines. This new generation includes different types, which allows us to offer a suitable solution for all core drilling applications. In terms of performance and drilling capacities, limits are once again being pushed back," says CEO Pierre Michiels. "Indeed, these magnetic drills are built from specialized technologies related to the motors, gears and magnets, making them extremely powerful and delivering unparalleled performance. They guarantee the highest capacities on the market and allow core drilling up to 200 mm and tapping up to M52. Thanks to the exclusively developed sliding system, the stability of the motor is greater and allows for more precise work. Gears can be easily changed without the user having to change to neutral in between. Finally, we have also paid attention to safety, including the integration of a slip clutch and overcurrent protection."
The existing range of magnetic drills, which includes MagPro 35 (Kompact/Adjust 1S/2S), 50 2S (Adjust), 75 4S (Swivel base), 80/4S and TP 2000, is complemented by a lot of newcomers.
Thus, the MagPro 40/1S and 40/1S Swivel base are suitable for core drilling applications up to diameter 40 mm. The new quick clamping system greatly facilitates tool changes. The swivel base ensures that the drill bit can be positioned very precisely even after the magnet has been switched on. Since that base can easily be rotated to the left and right, these systems make it child's play to drill symmetrical holes with the highest precision.
The MagPro 60/2S and 60M20 are solutions for core drilling up to diameter 60 mm. Thanks to a reversible motor and six speeds, the latter version also cuts threads up to M20. "The most impressive newcomers within this MagPro - Prime Line, however, are the MagPro 100M30, MagPro 150M42 and MagPro 200M52. These machines are suitable for core drilling up to Ø100, Ø150 and Ø200 mm respectively and thread cutting up to M30, M42 and M52. With their unmatched power, precision and versatility, these machines are the ultimate choice for professional drilling applications," concludes Pierre Michiels. "We also place enormous importance on service. Our customers can always turn to our experienced specialists for technical support and maintenance. Even if the operator is so experienced, if the machine and tools do not function properly, he or she will never achieve the best results."
