New damping product series with electromechanical actuators

Damping specialist ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH is expanding its range of machine components and presenting for the first time a new product series with electromechanical drives with Industrial Powerise®. The drives are available with spindle distances between 2 and 25 mm and can lift, lower and position moving parts with forces between 250 N and 4,000 N at the touch of a button. With a stroke length between 50 mm and 350 mm, the Industrial Powerise® can be used for a wide range of applications, such as opening and closing flaps, shutters, doors or gates, in both horizontal and vertical directions. In addition, the Industrial Powerise® can be used as a positioning system.

The new maintenance-free electromechanical actuators can be integrated into both new and existing structures and can also be combined with the proven ACE-NEWTONLINE gas pressure and gas pull springs. Users receive the Industrial POWERISE® as a complete turnkey package including accessories. In all cases, ACE provides additional strength for virtually any application. Thereby, what is interesting for many modern constructions is that maximum comfort can be provided at the push of a button. The Powerise® is available from stock, even in small quantities, and comes complete with ACE's customized advice and calculation service.

Also new at ACE: industrial shock absorbers as digital twins

Effective immediately, ACE offers engineers not only configuration and calculation software, CAD data and simulation, but also data from digital twins to integrate into virtual models. This makes ACE the first supplier of industrial shock absorbers to offer customers FMUs (Functional Mockup Units). This allows physical models of a product, in this case industrial dampers, to be integrated into the customer's own simulation models. This advantage is especially useful for special dampers, as ACE can quickly deliver prototypes as digital twins.

Industrial shock absorbers from ACE: components of virtual prototyping

Upon request, ACE also makes data and characteristics of all impact absorbers in the range available to customers. The FMUs have the physical, thermal, hydraulic and mechanical characteristics of ACE's industrial shock absorbers at their disposal. This makes it possible, for example, to accurately calculate in advance the influence of the input temperature on the damping behavior of the industrial shock absorber and to map its effect on the structure as a whole. Thanks to these and other features, ACE's digital twins are essential components for virtual prototyping and sizing designs. In addition to time and cost savings, there are also sustainability benefits because fewer physical samples are required to complete the development of a design. If customers want to use ACE's FMUs, they need simulation software with an FMI (Functional Mockup Interface). Commonly used compatible programs are Simulink and Adams. ACE can be found at the Precision Fair at booth 549 in Hall 3
