EuroBLECH 2024: maximum efficiency in a small area

Leading manufacturer Remmert is more than excited to show its latest developments to the general public. Thomas Holthöfer, Head of Digital Marketing, says 'The introduction of the BASIC Tower Easy sheet metal storage tower will undoubtedly be one of the highlights. With this innovative tower, we offer an extremely compact solution for storing sheet metal. Ideal for rooms where every square meter counts.'

AVGs support internal logistics

Another impressive product presented is an extremely compact laser cutting center. This system, combined with automated guided vehicle systems (AGVs), provides a seamless solution for transporting full sheets and palletized sheet metal parts. 'With live demonstrations at the booth in Hall 12, we will show how these AGVs provide a solution to the shortage of space and skilled workers' said Thomas.

The AGVs are optimized for Remmert's FLEX modular system. The FLEX range includes modules for storage, buffering, laser automation and sheet metal sorting. Thomas emphasizes that these modules are flexibly integrated with laser cutting systems from different manufacturers. 'Laser machines are replaced every 5 to 7 years, while our systems last much longer and are also brand-independent. Just goes to show that highly automated laser cutting centers do not have to have a large footprint. The new LaserFLEX Line variant is an excellent example of this.'

Efficient sorting

At the show, visitors will also be introduced to the solutions Remmert offers for the efficient sorting of laser-cut sheets. The LaserFLEX system palletizes large format sheets automatically and super-fast with two automation units; an infeed and an outfeed unit. 'The big advantage is that your existing warehouse and production landscape are fully integrated, including flexible connection to storage technology' Thomas explains further. For manual sorting processes, in turn, the LoopFLEX conveyor provides ergonomic support, while the SortFLEX robotic solution fully automates the picking and placing of sheet metal parts.

Remmert Warehouse Management System

Remmert is also known for its strong system integration, linking various IT and machine components into integrated best-in-class solutions. The Remmert Warehouse Management System (WMS) plays a central role in this as a hub between ERP and machine control.
