Deratech unveils new experience center

"If your application does not require the most high-tech and high-performance machine, or if you still want to reduce your budget somewhat, then you have come to the right place." At Deratech, they offer quality machines at an acceptable price exactly for such applications. The full range, including the new fiber laser cutting machines, can soon be discovered in a conveniently arranged experience center. This showroom is part of the new building at Industriepark E17/4 in Lokeren, which the sheet metal working machine specialist plans to occupy by early 2023.

Quality machines, acceptable prices

CNC-controlled plate shears, bending machines, punch-cutting machines, fiber laser cutting machines, automation solutions, CAD/CAM software and tools for those machines: that's Deratech's product range. "Everything is done in-house. We design and engineer the systems, handle production and delivery. After installation and delivery, it doesn't stop there. We also place a high priority on service. In addition to a telephone help desk, we support our customers, for example, in choosing tools or scheduling a quick intervention on the shop floor. We also continuously invest in the optimization of the product range. In doing so, no compromises are made on the quality of parts and components. We always want to achieve the maximum for our customers, and at an acceptable price," explains managing director Nico De Vooght. 

"Manufacturing companies often consider whether they would cut their sheet metal themselves or still outsource that production process to an external partner. Those who do it in-house can respond more flexibly to customer requests. In many cases the cutting quality of plasma technology is not satisfactory, but they do not want to take the step to fiber laser cutting anyway, because the investment is too high and the system would not be profitable." 

"If those production companies do not need an extremely high-performance system with 30 kW sources and 6-G axis gears, we offer an alternative with our fiber laser cutting machines, such as the Supera. This all-round system is available in sizes 1,500×1,500 to 2,500×10,000 mm, and with cutting power between 1 and 15 kW. The Precitec cutting head ensures stable, optimum cutting quality in a wide variety of material types and sheet thicknesses. The IPG fiber laser cutting source is virtually maintenance-free and guarantees constant cutting power for thousands of hours. These machines are not the fastest on the market, but that does not worry this target group, as long as they get a reliable and affordable machine that guarantees a high degree of finish."

Demonstrations

Those fiber laser cutting machines and all Deratech's other products will soon have a place in a new experience center. 

"We want to move into a new home base along the E17 freeway in Lokeren in early 2023. This should allow us to continue to grow and improve our services. This new building with an area of 2,500 m² includes offices, a workshop, warehouse space and an experience center. In this 1,000 m² showroom, customers will be able to discover the sheet metal working machines in various versions down to the smallest detail. Moreover, it will be possible to demonstrate the operation of the machines, also with workpieces that the customer brings himself. Furthermore, we also want to create a one-stop shop for spare parts at that new location," Nico De Vooght indicates. "The work is going well. Soon we will start the finishing phase. At the same time, we are looking for new employees to strengthen our team."
