Simplicity of operation, trigger number one for a new drill grinder

The crème de la crème of the metalworking industry gathered again from September 10 to 14, 2024 at AMB in Stuttgart, the biennial high mass for metalworking. Among other things, advanced linear motion solutions, intelligent robots, high-precision bearings, efficient clamping devices and user-friendly spiral drill grinders heralded the future of modern production. Brinkmann + Wecker GmbH also exhibited.

As a networking and knowledge platform, AMB is important. The focus is on cutting-edge solutions, but without losing sight of ease of use. Because no matter how high-tech products are, if you can't operate them easily, they are not very efficient. That is exactly the vision of team Brinkmann + Wecker GmbH, a specialist in Benelux and Europe for spiral drill grinders of renowned brands such as DAREX, OLIVER or ADRIAN and DRILL DOCTOR for more than 30 years.

Convincing ease of use

"With our DAREX machines, sharpening drills is as easy as sharpening a pencil," said 3rd generation Julius Brinkmann. "In daily work, this ensures fast and precise restoration of tool quality. Our highly user-friendly drill grinders meet a wide variety of requirements and performance levels. As DAREX's exclusive representative in Europe, we can offer a grinding range from 2.3 to 30.0 mm. For drills up to 100 mm, there is a long-term partnership with OLIVER or ADRIAN from the USA."

Nothing like seeing machines at work yourself before you invest. During AMB, the spiral drill grinders at the Brinkmann + Wecker GmbH booth were in full action. The DAREX V391, for example, guarantees accurate grinding of drills in 3 easy steps through a forced guide. Also, the DAREX XT-3000-AUT offers a fast and guided or automatic grinding procedure with many options, such as for countersink drills with equal and/or uneven distribution. The DAREX XPS 16 is a 4-axis CNC grinding machine, which is ideally suited for spiral drills with a conical sleeve and flat grinding. "The feedback on the machines was 'wow,' both from existing and new customers," Julius Brinkmann continued. "The trade show was successful. Our focus on simple operation hand in hand with sublime service continues to be a success story in the market. This is a valuable fact, because we have been convinced by our machines for decades and we see that they are still in demand on the market."
