Over 25 years ago, NovioStaal in Wijchen started supplying steel products such as strip and sheet steel, which at that time were difficult to obtain through the usual channels. Anno 2023, the company has reached a more than mature status, but with a youthful penchant for flexibility, fast delivery times, market knowledge and the rock-solid conviction: if we can't do it, no one can.

That NovioStaal was already meeting a serious need in the market at the time is proven by the tremendous growth the company has experienced over the past 25 years. From a one-man business to a supplier of steel products that currently employs eleven people. These employees have at least one common passion: providing customers with the desired steel products and any additional advice.

In order to deliver as much as possible directly from stock, NovioStaal moved to a new location with significantly larger storage capacity in 2017. Here there is an extensive stock assortment of weatherproof/corten steel and high-quality sheet steel. Many different steel products can be delivered in both trade and non-standard dimensions. Sheet steel, for example, can be rolled to lengths up to thicknesses of 25 mm and variable widths up to 2130 mm. Strip steel is available in thicknesses from 0.1 to 16 mm and widths up to 1650 mm and in various qualities. Both are available in both small and large volumes.

Also notable is the number of different steel grades held in (coil) stock. A few highlights: 16Mo3, 30MnB5, C45, S355J2+N, S355-S420-S500-S700MC, S355J0WP, X120Mn12 and S235 customized. Depending on the steel grade, the steel products each have their specific properties. These include with respect to strength, loadability, service life, formability and weldability. 

With this, NovioStaal has the necessary or required steel product with the corresponding material certificate for practically every problem. Whether this is for the automotive, industrial, agro, construction, packaging or container construction industries. It is a rarity that NovioStaal cannot fulfill a specific request.

Partners tire and sheet steel

Through years of successful cooperation with various renowned partners, NovioStaal has developed into a specialist in the field of strip and sheet steel. Thanks in part to its extensive network, the international steel trader has a wide range of hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized strip in various designs, hardened and/or unhardened cold strip. 

Through exclusive partnerships with cold rolling mills, NovioStaal is also able to produce strip steel with very precise thicknesses and corresponding tolerances. This is important for the automotive industry, among others, where high quality and accuracy are of great importance. The fact that NovioStaal supplies all these different steel products means that customers can turn to NovioStaal for all their requirements.

Flexibility of delivery

The three young owners who took over the business from the founder - including his son - are committed to delivering the desired products to each customer at the desired time. The capabilities are supported by their own means of transportation and a large inventory. Due to the growth of the company, the number of customers and the number of call-off contracts, a second warehouse was recently built.

The maximum commitment of the owners and the will to deliver optimal performance led to wonderful growth of the company and its customer base in recent years. 

Another strength of NovioStaal is the StaalJournaal; a free monthly digital newsletter that describes the latest developments in the steel world. This includes information on expected steel prices that is even used by several customers to adjust their purchasing accordingly.

And of course, the ISO-9001 certified company keeps an eye on the future by closely monitoring sustainability developments. For example, steel manufacturers are now able to produce steel completely "green" and thus contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. These steel products can now be found in the warehouse in Wijchen.
