Horizontal slab storage systems

The plate rack horizontal is equipped with drawers, which can 100% extend outside the rack, allowing easy removal of the plates by just one person using suction cups, a loading crane, a loading bridge or a slewing column. 

"In production halls, where the plate rack cannot be placed close to the machine, it is better to opt for a plate rack forklift. These include cassettes with fork openings, which can be taken out of the rack with the forklift to be transported to other locations in production. The sleeve openings in the cassettes ensure that the plates can never be damaged," adds the business manager. "Our plate warehouse combines a plate rack horizontally at the bottom with a plate rack forklift at the top, allowing us to create a tower with 25 storage spaces. In this way, one gets an efficient storage system with very many drawers in a small area."

Vertical plate storage systems

The plate rack vertical, available in a light and heavy model, is a compact solution for plate material and remnants. Here too, the drawers 100% are extendable, making the sheets immediately available and allowing one to work quickly and safely. 

"For storage areas with limited available depth, we propose mobile drawer frames. The sliding drawers ensure compact and orderly storage of metal sheets. Because these drawer frames, equipped with wheels, are mounted on two parallel rails, one can always shift them to the left or right, creating an aisle between two drawer frames," concludes Davy Moreels. "For heavy metal plates up to 20 tons, we offer our plate rack U-box. This automated plate rack with electrically sliding drawers allows the user to store all plate material in a limited space. Also with this solution, the different drawers are mounted on rails, allowing them to be moved easily and creating an aisle."
