Spinner introduces new generation large lathe TS850-XL

Under the model name TS850/TS850-XL, Spinner, represented in the Netherlands by Limas BV, introduces a new generation of high-performance lathes for turning lengths up to 1,250 or 1,850 mm. The well-known German manufacturer of machining machines thus expands its portfolio for chuck diameters up to 500 mm and for machining from bar to 125 mm.

The powerful TS850/TS850-XL lathes are designed for turning lengths up to 1,250 mm or 1,850 mm.

The machines are offered with a loose head or with a counter spindle for bar capacities up to 85 or 125 mm and chuck diameters up to more than 500 mm (equivalent on both spindles). The machines are also available with overhead turrets (with Y-axis), with a counter-spindle or with a CNC-controlled loose head (optional with goggles). Despite these dimensions, these machines are very compactly built in terms of footprint. Compact and easily accessible construction is a hallmark of Spinner.

A full-fledged mating spindle is also possible for chucks up to > 500 mm and a diameter of 125 mm.

Optimal chip attack

For a correspondingly high machining capacity for collet machining from bar material, or insert work in the chuck, one can choose between two powerful motor spindles for the main and counter spindle. The angled 90° bed guarantees optimum chip fall where the wide chip conveyor ensures trouble-free chip removal. Spinner offers the latest generation of controls from Siemens Sinumerik One with a 24″ touch screen and Fanuc 31iTB-Plus 15″ for the TS850/TS850-XL.
