Does top technology from Roeselaar's BO-Solutions put Belgian solar car on the fast track to gold?

For the 10th time in a row, the Belgian solar car was equipped with crucial high-tech precision parts from BO-Solutions as the Innoptus Solar Team prepares for the 2023 World Solar Challenge in Australia.

This partnership makes BO-Solutions proud every year and underscores their shared focus on innovation, Belgian talent and sustainability.

The Innoptus Solar Team or a group of talented engineering students from KU Leuven is striving to build the most innovative and efficient solar car in the world. As reigning world champions, they are more motivated than ever to embark on their challenging journey of more than 3,000 kilometers through the Australian outback, with the ultimate goal of bringing home gold.

This year, however, they are going a step further. For the first time, the solar car runs on 3 wheels and was equipped with a rotating fin. This innovation will allow efficient use of crosswinds to move forward even faster. Using the sun as its sole energy source, the Infinite will race in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2023 from Sunday, Oct. 22 to 29.
