Hermans Verenfabriek is still a real Belgian family business, and is run by the third generation. With a fourth generation being prepared in the meantime. The spring manufacturer - founded in 1951 - also offers its services worldwide, supported by a real webshop. But the company from Lebbeke goes even further...
Kris Hermans, business manager: "In all these years - and certainly from the moment my brother Erik and I took the helm - we have built up an ultra-modern machine park. We therefore constantly invested in advanced machinery. Together with the expertise of our team, there is little that we cannot do. Both in terms of unique, custom-made pieces and the better serial work."
"By now we are known in the market because, without exception, we always deliver top quality," Hermans continues. "But our flexibility and speed are also appreciated. I can tell you with my hand on my heart that every customer gets an answer within 24 hours. No one is left out in the cold."
"And that news spread like wildfire, of course. We started getting more and more requests, in addition to manufacturing springs, to machine steel sheets. So from the 'curly' to the 'flat' work. But if you want to deliver 'hand-friendly' - without burrs, that is - products, you need special machines. For that, we went looking for the top in the market. And that's how we ended up at Q-Fin."
Patrick van Scherpenseel, account manager Benelux: "We are perfectly compatible with Hermans Verenfabriek. In fact, we also play very close to the ball, follow everything down to the smallest detail, and are not afraid to regularly go on site to provide training and thus get our hands dirty ourselves. At Q-Fin, we design, manufacture and market the fastest solutions for deburring, rounding and finishing metal sheet metal parts, and extracting grinding dust."
"We draw on Dutch knowledge, expertise and craftsmanship. Our machines are fully developed and produced in-house using only high-quality A components. In short, the ideal partner for a well-known and ambitious company like Hermans Verenfabriek. Especially with their growth opportunities."
"With some products, after deburring and rounding the edges, it is desired to apply a fine grinding texture as the final finish, or to further refine this line finish," says Van Scherpenseel. "The F1200 XL is specially equipped with four processing stations to accomplish this, and comes with all available options, including automatic height adjustment for the brush motors and grinding belts. This four-station finishing machine, all in a compact space of only two meters, is extremely efficient. The customer can determine the desired finish."
"Hermans also bought the smaller model, the F200. That model finishes small sheet metal parts up to 200 mm wide at lightning speed. Finally, we also installed an extraction system with wet filter. Made entirely of stainless steel (SS), the WES extraction system is a wet-acting extraction system designed to capture grinding dust coming from materials such as SS, steel and aluminum. In combination with the F1200 XL, Hermans Verenfabriek has a particularly fine and productive set to post-process its sheet metal parts," concludes Patrick van Scherpenseel.
