Machining is an interplay of several elements. The tool also has an important role to play in how good your efficiency will be. Hoffmann Group has been serving its customers with top-of-the-line tool technology for years. The range is bundled in what users have come to call the orange bible: the catalog that receives a new edition every August.
To sum up all that Hoffmann Group has to offer in terms of machining tools would take us several issues of Metaalvak. The range is extremely broad and evolves each time in response to new trends in machining or advances in existing technology.
"The starting point is our 'three brands' strategy," explains Carlos Gouw of Hoffmann Group. He has been working as a machining specialist at the company since 2007 and can now call himself product manager for machining and clamping tools. "We try to provide our customers with sufficient alternatives for every machining operation and material by offering a third renowned tool manufacturer in addition to our own brands - Garant and Holex. In this way, we want to be a leading supplier."
This leads to a particularly impressive offering in machining and clamping technology. With the launch of catalog 54, the 54th edition of the Hoffmann Group catalog, this is once again highlighted. Indeed, Volume 1 of the catalog, which is more than 1,000 pages thick, is devoted entirely to this. "We distinguish between drilling, tapping/rolling, milling (mono, modular), turning and clamping, so that users can quickly find their way around. All new developments in the range are included. Products are also regularly included in the catalog following questions from the market and experiences of our customers," adds Gouw. And although the catalog is now available digitally and can be installed on all available media, many users still stick to the paper version. It will therefore be impossible to imagine the workshop without the orange bible for years to come.
One of the notable novelties we can already announce for next year is the presence of Iscar's tools in the catalog. Hoffmann Group and Iscar signed an agreement last spring to work together starting Oct. 1.
Gouw: "Iscar is a tool manufacturer that also looks very hard to the future and continues to innovate. Not only do the fields in which Iscar is strong (stabbing tools, among others) form a nice addition to our range, we also particularly welcome the knowledge and experience of this strong Israeli partner."
Hoffmann Group customers thus gain access to specialist tools from a leading partner, but with all the service and services they are used to: in terms of delivery time, ease of use and support from local experts. "For this, we can also count on the team at Iscar Netherlands/Belgium."
After all, service is the highest good within Hoffmann Group. This is also demonstrated by the recent cooperation agreement with a Service Center for Belgium and the Netherlands. Since recently, customers can have their tools re-sharpened via the Hoffmann Group ServiceCenter. "A service that has long been offered from the headquarters in Germany and has also been particularly popular with our customers here."
To serve customers even faster and more efficiently, Hoffmann Group therefore partnered with an experienced partner. "But that is by no means the only perk we offer. Think also about calibration of tools, printing of work clothing, production of customized tools... We try not only to provide customers with the right products for their application, but also to make a difference with the service and quality of our employees," concludes Gouw. ■
