One of the things they have focused on in recent years is in-house software development. According to Q-Fin, the latest software has been developed so that the operator can operate the touch screen intuitively and the machine sets itself up, so to speak.
Q-Fin now supplies its deburring and finishing machines with program selection in the operating menu. The machine operator can select from a number of preset programs on the HMI screen, e.g. for large rounding in combination with the correct material thickness. In addition, the operator also has the option of setting his own programs for products that recur regularly in his operation. After calibrating the brushes and selecting the appropriate program, the machine automatically sets the correct rotation and throughput speeds. The program thereby indicates which abrasives should be placed for this program. The smart software is also ready to interface with a barcode scanner.
As an option, all machines in the Q-Fin program can be equipped with automatic brush height adjustment with which the highest setting can also be controlled from the touch screen. This makes the Q-Fin machines completely ready for Industry 4.0. "Q-Fin's machines were already known as the most user-friendly in the market but with these new additions we are making it even easier for operators to quickly apply a perfect finish to their products," said Martijn Coppens, Operations Manager at Q-Fin.
