Cellro, specialists in CNC automation, introduces a new entry-level version of its successful Xcelerate series. The Xcelerate START, available from €77,000, makes advanced and modular CNC automation accessible to machining companies that want to start by automating one product series.
"With the Xcelerate START we make it possible for every machining company to get a smart start with CNC automation," says Arnoud de Kuijper, CEO of Cellro. "Many machining companies want to automate, but are looking for an affordable and future-proof solution. With the new entry-level version of the Xcelerate, we offer an affordable automation that grows with their production."
The START version is ideal for companies that want to automate a single series. Arnoud de Kuijper continues: "Traditionally one buys an automation for one product series, which is perfectly possible with the START. The operator sets up Xcelerate and the robot then takes over production. With a new product series, the operator manually sets the CNC machine, and also the Xcelerate START easily to other product series."
"What makes the Xcelerate START unique is its flexibility to grow with new production needs," De Kuijper explains. "Whether it's a new product series, automating another CNC machine or the need for longer unmanned production - machining companies add the functionality they need without losing their initial investment. Consider, for example, automatic gripper change, automatic machine clamp change, pallet handling, logistical integration of AGVs or Europallets, a cleaning module or a second process or operation."
"Even with this entry-level version, companies benefit from the powerful Xcelerate platform," De Kuijper explains. "The system handles both round and square parts and axes, processes all common materials such as aluminum, plastic and steel, and can be used for any CNC process - from milling and turning to grinding and eroding. And the best part is: operators don't need any robot programming knowledge. Within 3 minutes, they learn new products."
The power of automation with Xcelerate is evident from practical experience. "With our Xcelerate system, we produce unmanned for more than 18 hours a day," says Joep Geudens, director of G.A.B. Metaal in Bergeijk. "This gives us 5,000+ additional machine spindle hours annually and our setup times have been reduced by a factor of 10. The move to automation has really taken us forward."
"With the Xcelerate START, we are setting a new standard in affordable CNC automation that grows with the business," concludes De Kuijper. "Machining companies can now start in a way that suits their current production, with the assurance that they can grow later."
The Xcelerate START will be on display at Cellro in Veenendaal from March 18 to 21 during TechDemoweek.
