Total solutions for the welding world

Welding Company presents itself distinctly as a professional thought leader offering total solutions for the broader welding world. The family business thus distances itself from the classic appliance sales concept by offering an impressive in-house rental fleet of quality machines in addition to its extensive sales range.

Specialist from a to z

Welding Company is based in Schelle, from where, as a leading player in the welding world, it coordinates a very diversified range of services. After all, in fifty years the company evolved into much more than just a specialist in welding equipment. The market evolution moved the company to focus very strongly today on turn-key automation, for example. More specifically for welding and cutting, which includes keyhole welding procedures for laser and plasma cutting tables, among others.

Jan Pelgrims has been with Welding Company for eighteen years, and is now sales director there: "These trends are clearly setting the market in motion, and partly due to a shortage in the labor market, companies are increasingly investing in automated processes."

Own rental fleet

In parallel with its sales range, the company offers a very extensive and diverse rental fleet, which can be called one of the largest in continental Europe. The rental offer has to cope with long-term projects of the customers. Pelgrims: "We supply from our own rental fleet for the need of additional machines, and underpin this service with our own service department, which on the one hand keeps the entire fleet operational, and on the other hand can also make adjustments according to customer demand."

A key asset here is that the rental fleet largely follows the sales range, allowing for increasing delivery times and other key industry pain points.

This clearly involves much more than just welding equipment. Customers can rent compressors, welding exhausts, extension cords, PPE or even a fully equipped container with all accessories for a specific project.

The Welding Company range is calculated for all applications and all industries, including for customers who sometimes find themselves in a market where they have to switch gears unexpectedly. Pelgrims: "Often the customer is then suddenly confronted with a completely new process for which he initially finds it difficult to justify the investment. However, we have those specific appliances in stock. A good example here is Miller's induction heating. These are very flexible machines with which we can both preheat workpieces and perform real heat treatments on steel."

TIP TIG and laser welding

Another spearhead of Welding Company is TIP TIG, a range that the Antwerp firm exclusively represents. TIG technology is very attractive for a number of processes thanks to the very specific technical characteristics it acquires for the weld.

One applies an automation to the existing tig process, usually the welding speed is increased and at the same time the heat input into the workpiece is limited. You can guess the result: the combination of higher output and reduced costs makes production a lot more efficient. In addition, quality is significantly improved.

Finally, the company is betting heavily on its Fanuci laser welding equipment. The market has meanwhile clearly embraced the innovative welding technology, and there are several reasons for this. Especially in niches where one is mainly confronted with the typical aesthetic welds that are never heavily loaded, such as industrial kitchen construction, laser welding is a welcome solution.

The wide diversity of techniques offered by Welding Company translates to its product specialists, who make up the company's sales department. Indeed, the wide customer base ranges from smaller construction companies to some global players in oil and gas, offshore constructions, and even shipbuilding. Thus, the company also provides typical product specialists who are holders of their own range, ranging from induction, tip-tig, cutting tables, full automation or laser technology.
