The future of digital welding equipment

The future of digital welding equipment

Digitalization and automation are hot, including for the welding process. Digital welding sources are the future of welding because they guarantee a significant improvement in process control. Specialists Weco and Kemppi are constantly investing in the development of the latest technologies. Witness to this are Weco's Power Pulse 505 Digital and the Kemppi X8. They are the first fully digital inverters, which immediately guarantee amazing performance in MIG/MAG welding processes. At distributor Welda, these systems are already on display, also during Welding Week.

The future of digital welding equipment 1

Weco's Power Pulse 505d and the Kemppi X8 are the new digital welding machines in Welda's range.

The Power Pulse 505d is a fully digital welding unit, usable for everything from synergic and pulsed MIG/MAG welding, double pulsing to MIG brazing and overlay welding. This unit has precise arc control with welding current up to 500 A for heavy-duty welding and delivers excellent performance when welding steel, stainless steel, aluminum and alloys. The special programs developed in Weco laboratories guarantee excellent visual and metallurgical results. The latest Weco Digital Control Technology, Multivoltage, PFC and the simple parametric Quick Setting menu ensure perfect results in any operating condition. The duty cycle of 400 A at 100% allows the operator to work continuously, even in applications requiring a high duty cycle. Weco's market share, meanwhile, continues to grow, as evidenced by their drive for innovation. In addition to this 505d Full Digital, the specialist introduces the new EVO TIG series. This is equipped with a completely redesigned user interface, which ensures fast and effective access to all available functions. Fifty programs can be stored and loaded in their memory. All programs can be easily recalled while welding with an up/down torch.

The future of digital welding devices 2

Welda introduced its own brand "Leon" five years ago, which stands for a wide range of quality welding equipment, welding torches, magnetic drills and induction heaters. Today the brand presents its first plasma cutters.

Kemppi: X8 MIG Welder and MasterTIG series

They're not sitting still at Kemppi's R&D department either. For everything from synergic and pulsed MIG/MAG welding, electrode welding (MMA) to MIG brazing, overlay welding and gouging, the company offers a new multiprocess welding device, specifically the X8 MIG Welder. This smart system offers users high-precision arc control with welding current up to 600 A for heavy-duty welding and modern connectivity through integration with WeldEye welding management software. Every aspect of the power source,
wire feed unit, welding guns, user interface and other components, has been developed based on what users really need. The digital WPS function (dWPS) improves quality control and eliminates the need for printed WPS documents. The X8 Welder is equipped with an upgradeable power source, multi-voltage power option and comprehensive application software, making it easy to deploy in any welding environment. Furthermore, Kemppi is launching the new MasterTig range, designed for professional users who want to create their own specification that best suits their needs. These include alternative control panels, wireless remote controls and transport units.

Welda Leon series

Welda has more than fifty years of experience in the distribution of welding equipment and works very closely with its suppliers and partners. They know the world of welding through and through. About five years ago, the company launched its own brand 'Leon', which stands for a wide range of high-quality welding equipment, welding torches, magnetic drills and induction heaters. These products were designed and developed by Welda in consultation with external partners who have experience within the industry, making them user-friendly and efficient. Today, the company is premiering Leon's plasma cutters. These devices operate based on inverter technology and guarantee precise and clean plasma cutting operations.
