See, feel, hear, smell... At the Rösler booth, all your senses will be engaged. After all, the surface specialist will be showing live demonstrations at booth B056 in Hall 8 of the latest technology for giving your products the desired surface quality. Whether classic machined parts or pieces coming out of the 3D printer, Rösler always has an appropriate solution.
Rösler is the only provider in the world for surface processing that offers the two fundamental technologies of slide grinding and blasting in combination with industrial washing systems, and also develops and manufactures all the components itself. And it is precisely this combination that will be highlighted at the TechniShow. In Germany, it is already forbidden to simply discharge waste water from production; in the Netherlands, too, standards are becoming increasingly stringent. A problem that will also spread to Belgium.
Rösler is leading the way here by offering a closed system. Says Rösler account manager Erwin Verbruggen, "At the TechniShow, this will be demonstrated at a working machine for sliding grinding and deburring. Via the centrifuge, all contaminations coming from the pieces, such as that layer of oil typical of machined products, are removed from the water. In this way, the water can be reused; the contaminations can be removed from the installation as solids. A compact, flexible, sustainable and mobile solution that we really see taking off in the Netherlands, right now."
Rösler extends this focus on sustainability into its compounds as well. Formulations are constantly being tinkered with to make them more degradable and thus more environmentally friendly. In addition, certain compounds help remove bacteria for companies that need it.
In terms of blasting technology Rösler will present its latest new turbine. Notable among these is the modified design of the blades. "By giving them a Y-shape from now on, we can actually use them twice. Once along each side. The user then only has to reverse the blades, a change that, incidentally, can be done very quickly and easily," says Verbruggen. This patented solution is applied to all new blasting units delivered by Rösler, but can also be used as a retrofit in many cases. Based on a feasibility study, Rösler maps this out for its customers. "We attach great importance to service. As the only provider in the Benelux, we have a service team of eight employees. On the one hand, we try to help customers from a distance, but on the other hand we are always close by to quickly go on site when needed."
Rösler is also extending its reputation as a pioneer in the surface treatment of machined parts to 3D printing. The S1 was developed specifically to blasting technology apply to 3D printed parts, both plastic and metal. Says Verbruggen, "An all-in-one solution that can de-powder and provide initial smoothness to pieces from the 3D printer in one motion. By integrating the two steps in one machine, significant efficiency gains can be made."
In this field, too, Rösler looks beyond surface technology alone. "Because of the large amount of dust that can be released, it is important to provide good filtration. We will show with videos how with the combination of cyclone filter and vibrating screens we can recover even the powder for reuse."
Rösler at Demo Square
The TechniShow organization gathered all the new developments regarding 3D printing at the Demo Square. Of course, Rösler could not be missing from that overview. The German surface treatment specialist's M1 machine will demonstrate how to make that typical grainy structure of 3D printed products nice and smooth. After all, consumer demands about the finish of pieces from a 3D printer have tightened considerably. Post-processing is gaining in importance. The M1 was developed as an entry-level model for those who want to make work of a perfect finish. A closed, mobile machine that is easy to operate and offers an affordable solution.
