ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH introduces viscoelastic shock absorbers, expanding its range of safety products. The company from Langenfeld, Germany, offers engineers and users in heavy industry (steel mills, rail transport, crane construction, locks, wind turbines, etc.) durable solutions for a variety of emergency stop applications.
With 0.1 kJ/stroke to 1,000 kJ/stroke, ACE's viscoelastic shock absorbers can absorb a very wide range of energy. Moreover, especially when it comes to absorbing large amounts of energy, ACE's impact absorbers have great advantages over other emergency stop solutions. Despite this huge amount of energy to be absorbed, the impact absorbers have a relatively small stroke length of 12 mm to 1,300 mm. This makes the impact absorber fit well into ACE's range of modern components, which are not only high quality and functional, but also compact in size.
The new shock absorbers are designed according to the principle of hydrostatic compression of elastomers. This combines the functions of a shock absorber with those of a return spring. The advantages of this product series are compactness, highly reliable and long-lasting damping, high damping coefficients and resistance to temperature fluctuations.
The machine parts are available not only in steel but also in stainless steel versions. Thus, they can also be used for outdoor applications and are resistant to strong weather influences and corrosion by salt water. After relatively simple installation, even in pre-existing constructions, the shock absorbers provide peace of mind and the perfect protection. Thanks to years of experience in damping technology and the compact dimensions of this special series of dampers, ACE can also offer customized solutions.
