Safe protection from chemicals with MEWA Dynamic Elements

MEWA Dynamic Elements chemical protective clothing is the newest member of the MEWA Dynamic family. The modern work jackets, pants and suspenders are now available in anthracite, navy blue or malachite/anthracite.

Lateral elastic inserts in the suspenders provide mobility and comfort. Reflective elements support the sporty fit. The snaps and zippers are concealed and guarantee the safety required in the industry. The clothing with certifications EN 1149-3 and -5 (safety clothing - electrostatic properties) and EN 13034 type 6 (protection against liquid chemicals) protects the clothing of workers in the chemical industry, in galvanic processes and for the trade in chemical products: the antistatic properties prevent the generation of sparks and because the clothing is impregnated, splashes of acids and other chemicals cannot penetrate to the skin.

MEWA Dynamic Elements is available from MEWA Textil-Management. After use, garments are collected, delivered and replaced in case of damage. Special washing processes ensure that the protective functions are retained. An extremely thin, liquid-repellent fluorocarbon film protects against chemicals. However, it may be damaged by mechanical influences. A special chemical is added during the final rinse, after which the clothes are dried at temperatures of 130 to 140°C. 'Only a professional can provide such regular impregnation that meets safety standards,' says Silvia Mertens, Product Manager at MEWA and clothing technology engineer.

At the end of 2019, we also expect the 'Plus' version of the MEWA Dynamic Elements for employees in plastic production, petrochemicals and for tanker truck drivers. Certified to EN ISO 11612, the 'Plus' version now also protects against heat and flames.
