Tool parts for internal cooling and connectors that might cause interference during slotting, plugging and other turning operations are a thing of the past with the new additions to Seco Tools' JETI (Jetstream Integrated) tool range. Extensions to the range of chisel holders in the MDT (Multi-Directional Turning), X4 (slot cutting and crosscutting) and 150.10 (crosscutting) series offer interference-free internal cooling and the choice to turn the bottom power channel on and off when the application requires it.
JetStream Tooling ® provides operational stability, reliability and improved surface finishes, as well as application flexibility and the productive convenience of coolant supply without external hoses, connections and spare parts that can reduce productivity and increase costs.
MDT, X4 and 150.10 square shank holders are available in 20 mm x 20 mm (0.787″ x 0.787″) and 25 mm x 25 mm (0.984″ x 0.984″) sizes. The MDT holders are suitable for cutting plates of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm (0.0787″, 0.118″, 0.157″, 0.197″, 0.236″ and 0.315″). The 105.10 holders accommodate size 15 blades.
For optimal machining, chip control and process reliability, Jetstream Tooling® directs high-pressure coolant directly into the cutting zone through internal channels in the chisel holder. Unlike other chisel holders, Jetstream Tooling® Duo offers top and bottom cooling channels with the ability to turn the bottom flow channel on and off as desired. With coolant connections on the side and rear of these holders, they can also be used on machines with conventional coolant supplies.
