Construction companies join forces, but continue to operate in two locations

Working together makes companies stronger. Vincent and Christophe Verschoore and Alain Verkouille had that right when they decided to join forces in early 2020. While Verschoore Constructie has been building storage tanks for three generations, Constructiebedrijf Verkouille has excelled in building reactors and process vessels for two generations. The amalgamation provides greater strength and capacity to meet the increasing demand for shorter delivery times. However, both companies will continue to operate at their respective locations.

One identity, two locations

'Verschoore & Verkouille, tanks and reactors' - under this name and identity, Verschoore Constructie from Ingelmunster and Constructiebedrijf Verkouille from Ostend have joined forces. Both companies were founded in the first half of the last century by the respective grandfathers of the current directors. They were constructors of series storage tanks for fuel oil, as fuel for heating in residential applications and industry. Meanwhile, they have become specialists in the market of tank and reactor construction for a wide variety of industries.

"Construction company Verkouille is now part of the Verschoore Group. We will continue under one name and the same regime, but will continue to operate in two locations with an even stronger focus on what we were already doing," said Alain Verkouille. "With us, the focus remains on the market for reactors and process vessels for the chemical industry, while Verschoore will continue to invest in equipment for the construction of storage tanks and pressure vessels, both in steel and stainless steel with weights up to 25 tons." Vincent Verschoore adds: "We have both had a similar track record and pride ourselves on our history in tank construction. We are therefore just about the oldest players in the market. Joining forces gives us greater strength and a greater capacity, allowing us to respond even more flexibly to our customers' strict requirements, not least in terms of delivery times. In the coming years, we are already planning the necessary investments in facilities and production equipment."
