More efficient working with plastic pallets

Working more efficiently with plastic pallets

In the most diverse industries, pallets play a leading role in logistics. They are also indispensable in the metal processing sector for stacking and transporting raw materials, semi-finished and finished products. Many companies fall back on wooden ones. Purely out of habit. Because they would be a lot better off with plastic pallets!

For years, wood was the absolute autocrat in the land of pallets. With the introduction of plastic, however, this hegemony came to an end. "Unknown is unloved," explains Robbie Naessens of Plastibac. "Hence, many wooden pallets are still used. But the situation will turn around sooner or later, because the plastic ones are clearly at an advantage! First of all, they have a much longer lifespan than the wooden versions. Thanks to their robust and impact-resistant nature, repairs are also a thing of the past. The manipulators no longer have to fear splinters or injuries from nails. And the pallets can be cleaned very easily. Last but not least, they remain dimensionally stable in temperature differences of -30 to 40 °C or precipitation. This allows them to be stored outside without risk of deterioration due to weather."

Plastic pallets can be stacked much more efficiently. Even outdoors, as they remain dimensionally stable in temperature differences from -30 to 40°C and rain.

At least as sustainable as wood!

It is evident that such pallets are also included in Plastibac's range. Specifically, the range consists of four series. With the Export series, the company offers favorably priced one-way pallets with a smaller payload. The Comfort series consists of lightweight and ergonomic specimens for multiple use and normal loading. With the Premium you get sturdy pallets for intensive and multiple use and heavier loads. Finally, there is the high-quality and seamless Hygiene series that is 100% food-grade. "Importantly, our pallets are fully recycled at the end of their life cycle, which certainly makes them as sustainable as their wooden counterparts," Naessens says. "In addition to these plastic pallets, you can contact us for numerous other products for your business equipment or logistics, such as IBC containers, high-volume boxes, tool boxes ..."
