WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE

Following its annual tradition, Welda opened its doors wide to customers, schools and all interested parties from the welding and metal industry on Thursday, October 17 & Friday, October 18. During these days, even more than usual, Welda and Welda Machinery were transformed into an exclusive demo center with demonstrations of the latest digital welding equipment, machines, plasma cutters, welding and clamping tables and Augmented Reality welding, among others. Numerous special promotions and promotions were provided. Again this year the turnout was huge, especially by late afternoon both buildings were completely filled with enthusiastic visitors.

WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE 1In the morning, time was provided in each case to give schools and larger groups a tour or training. This way, these groups could discover the latest news in peace and quiet before the large crowd arrived. At 2 p.m., the demo days officially started for the general public. Since true machine lovers and welding enthusiasts spend a full afternoon at the Welda Experience Center, free spit burgers and drinks were provided.

During the demo days, both the Welda showroom and the Welda Machinery showroom were used to demonstrate the arsenal of welding supplies, machines and tools. In the Welda showroom (welding supplies & tools) you could see professional tools such as drills, saws, sanders and welding equipment in operation and buy them at special promo prices offered in cooperation with the suppliers.

Welding specialists Weco and Kemppi gave continuous demonstrations with all kinds of welding equipment, and you could also test the equipment, welding supplies and gases yourself. This year there was a clear focus on digital welding equipment: the Weco Power Pulse 505d Full Digital and the Kemppi X8. These revolutionary machines feature the most advanced programs. There were also extensive demonstrations of Weco's new EVO-TIG series and Kemppi's new MasterTig series.

WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE 2At the house brand Leon, you could continuously see a demonstrator at work welding and cutting. This year Leon came out with 2 plasma cutting machines that are super value for money.

This year you could learn about a new range from Siegmund with hydraulic welding tables and new tools. Constructions were put together to show visitors how functional and time-saving these tables are.

Binzel was also in attendance and showed not only their extensive range of torches, but also how to digitize a welding operation using a robotic arm. Bymat demonstrated how to clean a weld seam, polish stainless steel surfaces and how to mark or etch electrically conductive metals. At Tag-Pipe, visitors were then able to see all kinds of devices for tube, pipe, and sheet metal machining in action. BSK did not sit still either and gave demos with their stud welding equipment until the late hours.

WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE 3Soldamatic showed one of the latest developments in welding: augmented reality welding. This method of welding is very cost effective and speeds up the learning process of welders in training.

At Welda Machinery you could admire more than 100 machines. The different suppliers and technical advisors of Welda gave tips & tricks, showed how to optimize your workshop and were always ready to answer questions. Visitors were able to see plasma cutting machines from Escco and Sommer at work, band and circular sawing machines from Macc and Pegas, bending benches and plate shears from Baykal, bending machines from Jutec, column drills from Alzmetall and punching machines from Sahinler.

WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE 4Recently, Welda, in cooperation with the VCL (Continuation Center for Welders), has been offering customized, hands-on welding training at the brand new welding training center Welda Academy. During the demo days, training was provided continuously to business people and night school students. We asked for preliminary feedback from one of the participants.

"I experienced the training very well. The instructors know what they are talking about, explain everything clearly and are always available for questions. The infrastructure is top notch, the material is excellent and everything is neatly tidy. I would recommend the training to other entrepreneurs because I can definitely apply the explanations I received." Says Mike V.H, one of the welders who attended the training.

WELDA DEMO DAYS 2019: AS DEMO DAYS SHOULD BE 5The demo days normally end around 10 p.m. each time, but due to the large turnout and conviviality, visitors were welcome to have a drink and get to know Welda's staff better. Welda itself speaks of a great success. The demo days were fruitful for both the more than 1,500 visitors and the Welda team. This is the ideal moment to listen to the customers and to respond to their needs and wishes. As a result, Welda and Welda Machinery continue to grow and are one of the largest in their market segment. Welda is already looking forward to the next edition, but first we will focus on Welding Week where we will also showcase the latest digital welding equipment, metalworking machines and welding tables.
