Valk Welding gets order from LAG commercial vehicles

Valk Welding receives order from LAG commercial vehicles

LAG of Bree, Belgium, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, like a number of other major commercial vehicle manufacturers, has also taken a big step toward the automated welding of aluminum fuel tanks for its commercial vehicles.

With the order of 2 large state of the art full options Valk Welding welding robot systems, LAG takes a big step forward. Besides the widely used Arc-Eye CSS laser weld seam tracking system, Valk Welding will also deploy the newly developed VWPR QE Servo Pull welding torch for MIG to further improve the welding wire feed. Deployment of both technologies provide great added value when welding aluminum.

This project is also being closely followed up by the CIMC group, which has chosen LAG in Bree as its center of competence within the commercial vehicle segment. This first project is considered within the CIMC group as a strategic pilot project with the aim of rolling out the Valk Welding technology over several production lines or production plants.

CIMC is a global supplier of equipment for the logistics and energy industries.
