Surface trade fair joins Materials+Eurofinish in 2020

Mikrocentrum, Dutch knowledge and network organization for the manufacturing industry and VOM, the Belgian Association for Surface Technologies of Materials, announce the cooperation with Vereniging ION, Vereniging Industrieel Oppervlaktebehandelend Nederland, for the 2020 edition of Materials+Eurofinish. Through this collaboration, trade fair Surface joins and the three trade fairs merge as the knowledge and networking event for the BeNeLux: Materials+Eurofinish+Surface 2020, which will take place on June 3 and 4 at NH Conference Center Koningshof in Veldhoven.

In 2018, Mikrocentrum and the Belgian VOM already announced the cooperation of the merger of the trade fairs Materials and Eurofinish. The successful first edition took place on May 15 and 16, 2019 in Leuven (BE) and attracted 1,500 visitors and 130 exhibitors. Through this merger, the organizers are able to offer the manufacturing industry one central meeting place with all aspects for a good and sustainable end product. Think: materials, surface techniques, joining techniques and analysis techniques. The joining of Vereniging ION within the collective with vakbeurs Surface is a logical step to grow as the knowledge and networking event for the BeNeLux manufacturing industry around materials science, analysis techniques, joining techniques, product development and surface technology.

The visitor's experience is central

Materials+Eurofinish+Surface 2020 expects some 200 exhibitors and 60 speakers in the knowledge program. The experience is central throughout the event. For example, visitors can experience solutions from exhibitors live at the interactive demo areas and present challenges around product development and material choices to experts (material and coating doctors) from the field. As during 2019 edition of Materials+Eurofinish, the KVK is again organizing an international Meet & Match in cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network and the Belgian Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Moreover, we are building collaborations with adjoining organizations that are a pole of attraction for our clients' customers.

A central meeting place for the entire value chain

Timo van Leent (Mikrocentrum), Veerle Fincken (VOM) and Egbert Stremmelaar (ION): Surface's affiliation is the right choice to achieve our growth ambitions. It offers product developers, product designers, engineers, R&D people, production staff, material specialists and researchers one place to meet the entire value chain: from design and material choices to analysis and actual coating technology.
