At business park Honderdland in Maasdijk, Van der Ende Aluminium Constructies is running at full speed. The aluminum products of this company go all over the world from the Westland. Director Laurens van der Ende therefore enjoys working with SafanDarley: "We have been a customer for 15 years. This brand is the Mercedes among press brakes."
Van der Ende Aluminium Constructies is a family business. "I've been in aluminum for 23 years," says founder Herman van der Ende. "In 2001 I started in the shed for myself. It was mainly about repairs. I got busier and busier working for gardeners."
"The barn became too small," adds son Laurens - now director -. "Father therefore rented a small hall. I started helping out in the business because he was getting busier and busier. I would help out for a week, but I never left," he laughs.
The business grew substantially. "We always offer good quality and service. Even in times of crisis, the company grew," Herman van der Ende says. "We have a total of 25 good people. Our daughter Mariëlle also works in the office in the company."
Eighty percent of our products are exported. "Our construction material is used for greenhouse construction, industry, utility construction and in installation work. We have also realized many special projects such as a large logo made of aluminum for the MTV Awards, large orders for the Central Station in Rotterdam and a plant wall made of aluminum in Copenhagen. The products go all over the world: England, China and Australia," says Laurens van der Ende.
That increasing production required good machinery. "We had two old and one new three-meter press brake. We exchanged these for a new Safandarley press brake E-Brake 200-4100 and Guillotine shear M430-8 because it was needed for an order. Later a M310-6 guillotine shearer and E-Brake100-3100 were added. We control all the machines with the SafanDarley AutoPOL software. You see the product in 3D on the screen. That works really well."
The choice of brand was easy: ,,We have been customers since 2005. And these are the Mercedes among machines," says father Herman. "You hear from everyone in the industry that this brand is the best. That's why we chose SafanDarley. We called a representative and made a price together. The representative went into our requirements and had the machines modified where necessary. We made a substantial investment, but this is definitely going to give us production gains."
SafanDarley is also a Mitsubishi dealer, says Laurens van der Ende. "For us that was very convenient because we wanted to buy a fiber laser from that brand. We could keep everything under one roof. The cooperation was good because of the short lines. You are guided very well as a customer. And if there are any problems, you can always call SafanDarley's telephone help desk."
