Live demonstrations highlight innovations for machine builders and users
At Machineering 2023, the leading trade fair for the Belgian manufacturing and mechanical engineering industries taking place from March 29 to 31, Siemens will demonstrate how production data analysis can improve machine tools. The technology player will also unveil there a variety of innovations to accelerate companies' digital transformation, with offerings aimed at both the machine tool builder and user. Digitalization, sustainability and user experience are always at the center of these.
Siemens is showing its offerings for machine tool builders and users at Machineering 2023 from March 29 to 31. These include the Sinumerik ONE and digital twin for builders in machine tools that can increase productivity. That optimization, further facilitated by Industrial Edge for Machine Tools, offers a faster path to more efficient equipment.
Machine users, in turn, will be supported through Run MyVirtual Machine, among other things, which allows them to reduce their programming time. Experts from Siemens will also demonstrate at the fair, using Sinumerik ONE CNC systems and the continuous analysis of production data (Analyze MyWorkpiece/Toolpath), how to produce the right tool part more efficiently.
With their open, digital business platform Siemens Xcelerator, the technology leader shows how the real and digital worlds can be seamlessly connected. The platform helps customers in various industries create added value and accelerate their digital transformation. At the same time, Siemens Xcelerator also makes construction and operation more flexible and sustainable. In addition to a portfolio of hardware, software and digital services, the platform includes a growing ecosystem of partners and a forum that further facilitates interactions and transactions between customers, partners and developers.
At Machineering 2023, a variety of innovations for the machine tool apps Manage MyResources/Tools, Manage MyResources/Programs and Analyze MyPerformance/OEE will also be presented. Thanks to more extensive connectivity, among other things, these solutions now have even more to offer for the ideal connection between machines and resource management. The already available apps Manage MyMachines, Manage MyMachines/Remote and Analyze MyMachine/Condition were also upgraded. The applications allow users to retrieve and analyze data when machining workpieces for more streamlined maintenance planning.
Siemens tackles digitization in seven steps for a sustainable and successful digital transformation. That roadmap enables product manufacturers, machine and line builders to integrate and digitize their entire value chain with a powerful digital twin, combining the real and digital worlds. At Siemens' booth, visitors will discover how this service approach can guide them through their digital transformation journey.
With Mcenter, the platform for an efficient shop floor, Siemens provides a smart and seamless connection of machine tools to the company's IT landscape. The platform helps parts manufacturers reduce the complexity of their IT management through centralized platform functionality. Parts manufacturers will thus overcome challenges such as the current lack of machine information due to paper-based production information. They will ensure complete transparency and consistency of data across the shop floor.
In addition, visitors will also be introduced to Industrial Connectivity services, an industrial platform to connect the shopfloor towards all overhead systems (ERP/MES/SCADA), and Predictive Services for drive applications. With Sinamics S120 Combi, Siemens also offers a compact and robust drive for compact turning and milling machines. The Sinamics S120 platform increases the performance of machines, whether in continuous material webs or clocked and highly dynamic processes such as CNC machine tools.
Siemens experts are sharing all their knowledge on digitization, sustainability and user experience during several live demonstrations. At the first demonstration, Model Predictive Services for Drive Systems, interested parties can witness the operation of three service packages to manage drives and optimize maintenance. In addition, a second live demonstration, Model Sinumerik ONE, will explore digitization and the Sinumerik CNC system, which maximizes productivity by enabling more productive and efficient machine tools.
Visitors will find Siemens at Stand 153 of the trade show at Brussels Expo, Palace 8. Free tickets are available from this link.
