One of this year's product innovations is the Sitrans MS Multisensor, used primarily for condition monitoring of mechanical operating components, such as pumps, compressors, gears and valves. Through artificial intelligence analysis of sensor data such as vibrations and temperatures, important information can be generated for predictive maintenance. Users can access KPIs and status messages about the machines via mobile devices or cloud applications. Siemens is also presenting four applications for the Closed Loop Digital Twin. They can be used to exchange data in both directions between Teamcenter, Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, Amesim and MindSphere for continuous quality improvement of physical models and simulations. Another new product Siemens is offering is an innovative IoT gateway between the cloud, internal IT and production: Simatic IOT2050 will be equipped with an Edge feature in the future, making it easy to integrate into Siemens' Industrial Edge solutions.
In the field of drive technology, a solution shows how data that is provided very frequently can be processed close to the machine in the future. The connection of Sinamics frequency converters to an Edge device enables machine and application users to perform complex analysis of data already collected on the drive. Machine learning algorithms identify patterns and detect anomalies and their causes. They provide early indications of necessary maintenance, minimizing downtime. In the area of artificialintelligence services, Siemens is also presenting its Predictive Services for Foundry, which enable users to increase overall plant efficiency in the automotive sector.
