This year's EMO trade fair in Hannover was on RoboJob's agenda with a bullet point. After all, EMO is the world's largest trade fair in the manufacturing industry and thus a great stage for anyone who wants to play a leading role in it. After 6 busy days at the fair, RoboJob returned from Hannover satisfied.
The Belgian CNC specialist has been working toward EMO since last year. The bar has to be raised with every participation. For this edition, RoboJob managed to turn out the Tower Advanced, the eye-catcher at the booth where otherwise the Turn-Assist 270 i and the Mill-Assist Essential i were on display. With the Tower, RoboJob is fully committed to the high mix, low volume production that machine builders and especially suppliers face today.
"Whereas people used to produce large quantities and then keep them in stock, today things work completely differently in the manufacturing industry," he said. explains CEO Helmut De Roovere. "Companies are no longer stockpiling, because they cost too much money. Suppliers must therefore produce much smaller numbers, and that is precisely why they have to look for additional work. This in turn results in a greater variety of components which they have to make. High mix, low volume we call it. Our Tower is ideally suited to automate this new reality in an approachable way."
Consequently, interest in Tower Advanced and RoboJob's other solutions was very high. The market leader in CNC automation was allowed to return with quite a few orders, both of the Tower and the other models. "Therefore, with shorter lead times and a challenging economic outlook, now is the perfect time to bet on CNC automation. Those who order today can have their automation delivered this year. And manless production remains desperately needed to ensure the profitability of our manufacturing industry."
There will be little talk of any rest after the busy EMO days. After all, with the Metavak fair in Gorinchem, the next fair is already announcing itself. From Oct. 8 to 10, RoboJob will display its Turn-Assist 270 i and the Mill-Assist Essential i there. Metavak will open its doors daily from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
