Revolution in CNC technology

Faster, more flexible, greener and more intelligent metalworking

Corona has thrown a lot of spanner in the works over the past year and a half. The Mazak Open House was also forced to close its doors, but this year it will be back on everyone's calendar from November 30 to December 2. After all, this meeting is more than just a house fair that gathers machines. It is an event that shows metalworkers in Belgium which direction it will take in the coming years. A future that Mazak believes will be faster, more flexible, greener and more intelligent.

Already at the EMO, visitors could discover the pillars Mazak has mapped out for the future of its metalworking technology. The coming years will be all about realizing a faster, more flexible, greener and more intelligent metal industry. Faster, because speed means productivity. More flexible, because optimizing raw materials and technical talent results in profitability. Greener, because we must pursue care for the environment in all our processes. And more intelligent because smart manufacturing will fulfill just those high demands of flexibility and adaptability that modern production environments demand. These themes will determine the face of the Mazak Open House from November 30 to December 2 at the headquarters in Leuven. As usual, Mazak is not doing this alone. It also invites to its Open House partners who help shape and realize this future. This year, Kennametal (tools), RoboJob (automation solutions), BMO (automation solutions), Schunk (gripping and clamping) and Produsoft (CAD/CAM software) will be present.

In addition, the Integrex i-350H S is definitely worth a visit. A new flagship among multitaskers designed specifically for integration with numerous automation systems.

State-of-the-art machines

The European metal industry proved during corona just how resilient and inventive it can be. Now it's time to come and see the future of machine technology. But what exactly will you get to see there? State-of-the-art machines will be there continuously working hand in hand with automation solutions. Sheet metal workers and machinists alike will get their money's worth. For example, the live demo on an 8 kW laser cutting machine will show the advantages of more power, more speed and a nicer cutting image, even on thicker materials. With of course, all corresponding possibilities and solutions regarding automation from Mazak as well as from Fasani and Remmert. Produsoft is also present, the specialist in Radan software to inform you about the latest innovations. In addition, the Integrex i-350H S is definitely worth a visit. A new flagship among multitaskers designed specifically for integration with numerous automation systems. After all, with its wide range of automation solutions, Mazak knows how to create the most added value for every machine type and for every application.

Latest steering with artificial intelligence

You will further discover a shop floor that is seamlessly connected to the office or be introduced to latest CNC technology that provides intuitive set-up, programming and support so that machines can operate in the most cost-effective way. This year Mazak is celebrating forty years of Mazatrol control. A story that is not yet at an end. Quite the contrary. The Mazatrol SmoothAI and Digital Twin technology already attracted a lot of attention at the last EMO and will undoubtedly also attract a lot of interest in Leuven. After all, this new generation of control technology delivers the power and improvements to provide unsurpassed productivity and value throughout the entire machining process. From automatically generating 3D models using artificial intelligence to reduce programming times with 90%, to smart adaptive spindle management or automatically compensating for temperature fluctuations.

Networking

But above all, Mazak's Open House event offers metalworkers another chance to meet each other. In an informal setting with state-of-the-art metalworking technology as the perfect backdrop, there will be particular opportunity to talk about your own plans to take your production into a new era and how Mazak can support you in doing so.
