Remmert and WiCAM join forces on intralogistics

Remmert, an expert in automated storage systems, is partnering with software producer WiCAM. The strategic cooperation is centered on the development and realization of total concepts with a view to fully automated parts sorting in metal sheet processing. Remmert supplies the machine components, WiCAM the software.

The goal of the partnership is to offer companies in the metal sheet processing industry customized intelligent automation and intralogistics solutions. What makes these solutions unique is that they can be directly linked to the company's existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. A central application thereby provides overall control of the entire system. The development of standardized interfaces for ERP, production planning and control systems, as well as the standardization of information flow in all the programs involved, simplifies the entire process. Project planning costs for the customer are thus significantly reduced. A central contact person in Remmert's technical implementation also supports the central consultation procedures. If higher requirements are placed on the system, the system and software can be further expanded on a modular basis.
