Extensive range of high-quality materials

For the machining industry, IMS Belgium has very extensive capabilities with various grades of bar and machine tube from stock, and in particular grades such as Prodec^® stainless steel, aluminum 6026, bright steel S355 IM, ETG^® and HSX^®. Prodec^®, Outokumpu's superior machinable stainless bar steel, is known in the industry as the best machinable stainless steel on the market. This allows cost savings of over 50% per component. IMS Belgium supplies a wide range of Prodec^® materials from stock: round 6 mm to 90 mm and hexagon 10 mm to 41 mm, in different qualities. Other sizes and shapes, such as square and flat, and other grades are available upon request. ETG^® and HSX^® are Steeltec's high performance steels. In addition to improved machinability, these steels are distinguished by their exceptional tensile strength. These materials allow a lighter construction to be developed with a smaller diameter with at least equal strength as conventional steels.

The production unit in Roosendaal has a brand new sawing machine that very quickly cuts diameters up to 560 mm with the highest accuracy.

Customization for small and large orders

Not only their extensive offer, but also the qualitative customization distinguishes IMS Belgium from other metal distributors. The production unit in Roosendaal, established in 2018, is entirely focused on delivering large orders on demand, and this specifically for cut-to-size pieces. The workshop therefore has a brand new sawing machine that cuts diameters up to 560 mm very quickly with the highest accuracy. Thanks to a multi-pan device, several lengths of material can be cut side by side. All this results in a doubling of the sawing capacity, with which IMS Belgium is again completely ready for further growth.
