Companies can perfectly market their own products while distributing systems from other brands. Witness to this is Vlamboog B.V., which originated in 1948 with the development and production of the first generation of electrode holders and gouging rods. Today the company has grown into a manufacturer and trading house in the field of welding accessories and personal protective equipment. The specialist is also a total supplier, providing its customers with maximum support and care.
Vlamboog B.V. is known worldwide as an A-brand manufacturer of welding accessories, electrode holders, couplings and gouging rods, which are sold through importers, welding specialists and technical wholesalers at shipyards, in the offshore, construction, mining, foundries and in the metal processing sector. "In the late 1990s, the company started producing the MultiVision welding helmets. Furthermore, the range includes the Samson, Optimus, Victory and Progress electrode holders, the Weldsafe welding supplies and the Flair welding rods," said sales director Cornelis Alderlieste. "Since merging with Intersafe's Trade division, personal protective equipment has also been offered."

The Dordrecht-based specialist is also an official importer of several leading A-brands, including Optrel, Bymat, Ansell, 3M and MSA. Vlamboog buys many hundreds of welding accessories and PPE from carefully selected manufacturers within and outside Europe, with whom they have built a good relationship over the years. That range includes welding cables, work gloves, welding kits,
welding glass, tungsten electrodes, gouge electrodes, welding blankets, welding gloves, couplings, face shields, welding blankets, fresh air helmets, mouth guards and safety glasses.
For many customers, however, welding accessories and PPE are only part of the range of products they carry or use. "We want to unburden them to the maximum extent so they can focus on the broader business operations," Alderlieste concludes. "Customer-specific stocks, private label deliveries and product availability guarantees are just a few examples of arrangements that ensure continuity in business operations, while taking maximum care of customers in the area of welding accessories and PPE."
