Intensive talks with specialists, a very busy expert forum and a positive mood on all three days of the fair showed that the 20th parts2clean, which ended on September 28, fully lived up to expectations. More than 3,000 professional visitors came to the fair, most of them with current tasks and projects and a great need for knowledge. This resulted for the more than 150 exhibitors from 14 countries in high-quality contacts, new projects and even direct business deals.
Cleanliness is gaining importance in more and more industrial sectors. This conclusion can be drawn after the 20th parts2clean. This is illustrated by the tasks and projects with which the more than 3,000 visitors had traveled to the Messegelände in Stuttgart from September 26 to 28, 2023. The proportion of foreign guests was 20 percent, the countries with the most visitors were Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Austria and the Netherlands.
The significant increase of about 33 percent over the previous year was certainly also due to the highlight theme "High Purity," which was added for the first time this year to the core themes of the leading international trade fair for industrial component and surface cleaning. "As a result, at this parts2clean we have placed greater emphasis on of solutions for tasks with the highest cleanliness requirements," reports Christoph Nowak, Project Director at Deutsche Messe AG. "Thus, we have succeeded in attracting more visitors from these sectors to parts2clean." This is confirmed by Dr. Günther Schmauz, Board Member of acp systems AG: "With our High Purity snowblast cleaning solutions, we used to be more of a niche at parts2clean. At this year's event, we were able to welcome a very large number of trade fair guests from the EUV lithography sector, including system partners and suppliers, in addition to representatives from the electromobility sector. The latter includes manufacturers of batteries, power diversion and energy management components and electric motors. For us, parts2clean 2023 therefore went very well." So says Jan Gerbrands, CEO at the Dutch company Brookhuis Applied Data Intelligence B.V., which makes products for optimizing the operation of clean rooms: "It was a super fair for us because we were able to generate a lot of new contacts." "parts2clean was significantly more successful for us this year than in 2022. This is certainly due to the High Purity theme, which is central to Ecoclean's program. This allowed us to attract new visitors," reports Rainer Straub, Member of the Executive Board and Vice President Sales & Customer Service of Ecoclean GmbH.
In total, more than 150 exhibitors from 14 countries presented new, further developed and proven products and services for industrial component and surface cleaning on more than 4,500 square meters. The fact that most of them were able to have very detailed discussions about specific projects was due to the exceptionally high percentage of specialized visitors with 99%. About 88 percent are involved in operational investment decisions and about 78 percent visited the fair with investment intentions. And these were also converted directly at parts2clean, as Wolfgang Prem, managing director of Maschinenbau Silberhorn GmbH, reports, "This year we took away many good contacts with visitors from companies we did not yet know. But the highlight of our participation in the fair was that we were able to sell one of our new MWS cleaning systems directly at our booth to a company from Israel. It was a first contact made here at the trade fair." Manfred Holzleg, general manager of Safechem Europe GmbH, also expressed his satisfaction: "At parts2clean we can always meet a very diverse audience. This year we were able to have many good conversations, especially with visitors from sectors new to us. This also allows us to tap into new markets. But parts2clean is also important for us because world market leaders and technology leaders from the different fields of industrial cleaning technology come together here and we can exchange information about developments and trends in an interdisciplinary way:" Bahadir KöK, sales manager of Turkish Everest Elektro Mechanik Makina Sanayi Ve Tic. A.S. also sees it this way: "Parts2clean is one of the most important trade fairs for Everest. To become more independent from the automotive industry, we present our new systems here, for example, in line with standards in medical technology. We also invite our dealers from the different countries to the fair so they can learn about the new developments." Maria Laure from the New Business Perfect Welding division of the Austrian Fronius International GmbH assesses her participation in the fair very positively: "We have participated in parts2clean for the third time and see a positive development in both visitor numbers and internationality. We conduct about 50 percent of our talks in English. These are very intensive conversations involving concrete tasks. Some visitors even bring the work pieces to be cleaned with them."
"The bilingual expert forum at parts2clean has always been a visitor magnet. But this year, with a record number of visitors, it confirmed its status as one of the most in-demand knowledge sources on industrial component and surface cleaning in the world," says Christoph Nowak. And the numbers speak for themselves: a total of 2,700 times knowledge transfer par excellence by listening to the simultaneously translated (German English) lectures of renowned speakers from science, research and industry to generate or deepen cleaning knowledge. "The enormous popularity shows that there is an immense need for information, both for classic cleaning tasks and for High Purity applications, which will continue to grow as a result of changed and new requirements," adds Christoph Nowak.
The final day of parts2clean also offered a highlight with the presentation of the FiT2clean Award. This is the second time that the German organization for industrial component cleaning (FiT) presents awards for outstanding achievements and solutions in the field of component cleaning. The 10,000 Euro-dotted innovation prize was won by Intelligent Fluids GmbH for the development of sustainable water-based phase fluids that can replace classic solvents in numerous cleaning applications.
