New one-day trade show "Journée du Métal" immediately scores rock solid in the French-speaking market.

New one-day trade show "Journée du Métal" scores rock-solid immediately in the French-speaking market.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, Easyfairs Belgium launched a new one-day trade show at Namur Expo, Journée du métal, aimed specifically at the French-speaking metal sector. With 71 exhibitors and 715 visitors, this was immediately a particularly successful launch. 74% out of all the exhibitors have also reserved their stand space again for the next edition. A brilliant proof of how successful this launch was.

Large attendance of 715 visitors from all over Wallonia on a single day of the fair.

Namur is not only the capital of Wallonia, it was also the center where the French-speaking metal community came together for Journée du métal on June 2. No fewer than 715 visitors attended this first edition. In terms of geographical distribution of our visitors, we also reached all provinces: 28% came from Liege, 17% from Namur, 17% from Charleroi, 10% from Hainaut, 10% from Walloon Brabant and 13% from Brussels, 5% came from the Flemish provinces.

Great satisfaction among the 71 exhibitors and strategic partners

The Belgian Institute for Welding Technology organized 2 welding conferences for more than 70 participants and the VCL-CPS managed among others our Wall of flame where visitors could weld their name on our metal wall. Our marketing team together with all our strategic partners, media partners and exhibitors made sure that the right visitors were reached.
On this one exhibition day, as many as 74% of all the exhibitors again reserved their booths for the next edition in June 2024.

At the official opening of Journée du métal by Federal Minister Clarinval, responsible for the Middle Classes, Self-Employed, SMEs and Agriculture, Institutional Reforms and Democratic Renewal, in charge of Foreign Trade, the need to create a French-speaking federation for metal professions was also emphasized. Together with VLAMEF and the support of Minister Clarinval, Easyfairs Belgium will also lend its support to this.

Next metal-manufacturing event is in November 2023 at Antwerp expo

The next appointment for the community of welding and cutting, turning, milling and bending metals, pre- and post-processing, 3D printing, metal suppliers,... is on 21-22-23 November 2023 in Antwerp expo where the Belgian and Dutch metal community will come together for a new combination : Welding Week and Subcontracting were in 2019 as together, but in 2023 there will also be the new event 'Metal Flanders'. This will allow the full metal offering to be shown while maintaining the existing successful brandings of Welding Week and Subcontracting. This new combination was already very enthusiastically received by the exhibitors of Journée du métal and has been requested for some time by our Dutch visitors of Welding week and Subcontracting.

The next edition of Journée du métal is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Namur expo.

3 one-day trade shows in a row for 3 different French-speaking markets all score.

Three new one-day trade shows for the three different French-speaking sectors all scored extremely well. On May 16, Empack Namur was launched and scored very strongly with its 658 visitors, one week later it was the turn of Industrie & Maintenance, a technical trade fair for the processing and maintenance sector. Here 538 visitors attended and on June 2 we closed the series with Journée du métal with a top number of 715 visitors. For all these three one-day trade fairs, an average of 70% of all exhibitors already reserved their stand space again for the next editions. A very strong sign of satisfaction for all.
