Metavak and Welding Week join forces

On October 4, 5 and 6, 2022, the Evenementenhal in the Dutch town of Gorinchem will welcome the Metavak and Welding Week trade fairs simultaneously. The unified high mass of metalworking and joining techniques is thus more than ever one that wants to share inspiring solutions. With automation and innovation as its main spearheads.

Your patience will be rewarded. The fair is coming soon, and has everything it takes to become a very special edition. That's what Charlotte de Zeeuw, marketing event manager at Easyfairs Netherlands, the events agency that handles all the organization of the fair, realizes. 

De Zeeuw: "Metavak and Welding Week have been household names in the metalworking industry for many years. However, this edition is going to be extra special, partly because of the well-filled exhibition floor and the inspiring knowledge programs that are planned. All made possible thanks to the good cooperation with partners such as SMITZH, Koninklijke Metaalunie, the Nederlands Instituut voor Lastechnieken (NIL) and main media partner Metaalnieuws, who have jointly put their backs into this."

Every trade fair is above all a platform of communication and social contact, where - of course - business is done and one can meet colleagues from the wider industry as a trade specialist. This combined trade fair also highlights inspiring innovations, with an emphasis on process optimization and automation. 

Logical choice

De Zeeuw: "Merging Welding Week with a broad metal trade fair like Metavak was therefore a logical choice. After all, an important part of metalworking is joining. This occurs in all processes. Especially for sheet metalworking companies, which make up an important visitor target group of the entire event. The exhibition floor for Metavak is populated by as many as 93 exhibitors, while Welding Week can count on 22 participants. We expect to add many more companies in the coming months." 

There is great interest in the event from companies eager to present their latest solutions here. One distinguishes six segments in it: Automation, Machining, Sheet Metal, Cleaning, 3D Printing, and Connecting. A particular focus in this edition is on automation, with extensive demonstration stands of robots, cobots, and the inevitable software and systems required for their implementation. 

In this branch of industry, where everything must be done faster and more qualitatively, the impact of mainly practical innovations is becoming more far-reaching than ever. At the Metavak and Welding Week event, some telling solutions of this will be demonstrated. The aim here is always the same: to increase efficiency by leaving repetitive tasks to the machine as much as possible, and to give employees more time for work that really adds value to the production process.  

A good example is the CUBEBOX system from Limas, a German machine builder and exhibitor at Metavak.   
They will demonstrate at the fair an affordable CNC automation based on an industrial robot for handling up to 35 kg. This will also be the premiere of this automation solution, with Metavak as its platform!  

NILIBIL Symposium

Also during this edition of Welding Week, the Netherlands Institute for Welding Technology (NIL) is the official exhibition partner. Besides main knowledge partner of the freely accessible knowledge program with lectures by professionals from the field, NIL will also organize the well-known NIL|BIL Welding Symposium. This year at the fully renovated congress center of Evenementenhal Gorinchem, Next Level. NIL: "Not only are we very excited that the exhibition can take place again. We are also currently finalizing the program. These are inspiring days, for everyone!"

Smart

In addition to the knowledge theater at Welding Week, that of Metavak is no less filled. SMITZH, main knowledge partner of Metavak, presents a program based on the themes of Smart Learning, Smart Producing and Smart Earning. Several speakers will address topics such as "What is ozone?", "Smart use of data," "The lessons of post-calculation" and "Tagging, what can you do with it?
