LVD comes out with new cost-effective laser cutting machine

With the new Puma, LVD introduces a cost-effective fiber laser cutting machine with high-tech features and performance at a lower total cost of ownership. Puma has 3, 6 or 12 kW laser power in sizes 3050 x 1525 mm, 4065 x 2035 mm and 6160 x 2035 mm and can be equipped with automation. The flexible machine can be used for a variety of cutting applications.

ADVANCED CUTTING HEAD, TOP DYNAMICS
The Puma cutting head uses the latest technology for consistent quality and process stability. The cutting head has collision detection, motorized control of focus position and capacitive height sensor as well as automatic plate detection, cutting gas selection, gas pressure control and nozzle cleaning. The high machine dynamics ensure high cutting productivity in a wide range of material types and thicknesses.

AUTOMATION BENEFITS
Thanks to Puma's change table system, where one table is loaded/unloaded while materials are cut on the other, throughput remains optimal. A table change takes only 35 seconds.

To maximize laser cutting output and cutting efficiency, Puma can be equipped (also retrofitted) with a modular MOVit automation system, including a Compact Tower (CT-L) for loading, unloading and material/parts storage, Flexible Automation (FA-L), an advanced loading/unloading system, a Tower Automation System (TAS) for single or double tower storage, or a Warehouse Automation System (WAS) for flexible storage.
