How does metal milling work?

CNC milling, machining technology and CAD method, all terms mentioned in metal machining. Metal machining involves removing excess pieces or portions of the workpiece. This is called machining. Hence the name machining technology.

The mechanical removal of unneeded metal particles is called milling. The cutter itself, actually a round piece of sharp hard metal with teeth, does the work. This milling cutter is located in the milling machine. By making super-fast rotary movements, the milling machine removes material to create the desired object. When this is done by a connected computer, we give it the name CNC milling.

Computer Numeric Control

CNC stands for Computer Numeric Control, a difficult name for computer-controlled machines that work daily to produce the finest products and semi-finished metal products. The milling machines are conveniently pre-programmed so that in large series certain products can be produced repeatedly. The design for the operation which is made for this purpose and which is loaded into the computer is called the CAD design. This design in the computer controls the milling machine so that the item is produced exactly.
