HALTER CNC Automation and Fastems join forces in HALTER Group

HALTER CNC Automation B.V. of Hoevelaken and Fastems Oy Ab of Finland intend to start a joint venture on Sept. 30. Parts of Fastems Systems GmbH related to the R&D and production of the HALTER LoadAssistant portfolio will be transferred into a new company, HALTER CNC Automation GmbH. This company will be located in Issum, Germany, and will form the HALTER Group together with HALTER CNC Automation B.V. of Hoevelaken.

Since its founding in 2013, HALTER CNC Automation has worked closely with Fastems on the development and production of the HALTER LoadAssistant. The combination of the competencies of both Halter and Fastems have been the basis for the global success of Halter's solutions. Since its introduction in 2014, hundreds of units have been delivered in more than 25 countries, through a network of manufacturers and dealers in Europe and the United States. Intensified and integrated cooperation is therefore a logical next step to become the leading supplier in flexible, plug-and-play automation for CNC machines.

Wouter van Halteren, CEO of HALTER CNC Automation said, "This joint venture immediately creates a unique sales, service, manufacturing and engineering environment, which will mean the best possible customer experience for our customers. By introducing new models, such as the HALTER Big at EMO, and offering additional services such as application engineering and consulting, we will help our customers stay competitive and profitable. Now that we will integrate Fastems' "Halter business" into the Halter Group, we can do this even more effectively and on a global scale."

Heikki Hallila, Managing Director of Fastems Systems GmbH in Germany: "Both Halter and Fastems are passionate companies that offer solutions based on many years of experience in the machining market. In recent years, the demand for Halter's plug-and-play automation solutions has developed strongly and is now moving into a new growth phase, which also places different demands on the cooperation. The planned joint venture will give Halter the opportunity to enter the market even faster with new developments and to further improve the service level for the rapidly growing installed base. We welcome the opportunity to continue the journey with Halter in this joint venture."

Mikko Nyman, CEO of Fastems Group said, "From the beginning, we have been involved in Halter's solutions as a development partner. The cooperation in product development and technology has only increased and Halter has successfully proven that it meets the needs of metalworking companies to easily and quickly improve productivity. Given Halter's continuous growth, the joint venture is a logical next step, in order to expand Halter's capabilities and bring even more smart solutions to the market. Supported by an experienced and dedicated R&D team."

Wouter van Halteren (CEO) and Spela Zalokar (Managing Director), founders of HALTER CNC Automation, will form the management of the HALTER Group.
