These are characterized by their IP 56 protection, energy-efficient Blue e technology, smart IoT capability and cULus Listed seal of approval.

NEMA 3R/4 sheet steel cooling units ensure optimum protection and reliable operation of the technology even in rain, snow and icing conditions (NEMA 3R) or wind-driven dust and rain, spray and water jets (NEMA 4). They are available in four power ratings from 500 to 2,500 W and can be used in a temperature range of -20 °C to 50 °C. At outdoor temperatures below 10 °C, the unit automatically switches to a mode in which only the indoor fan is active. 

Energy efficiency and IoT capabilities

The NEMA 3R/4 cooling units feature UL Type 3R/4, UL Type 12 and IP 56 protection classes. They are available as standard as energy-efficient Blue e wall-mounted cooling units with integrated e-Comfort controller, RiNano coating on the condenser and electric condenser evaporation (from 1,000 W). The combination with the IoT interface and Blue e adapter enables intelligent networking and the digitalization of the Blue e cooling units. Thus, the units can be easily implemented in Industry 4.0 environments without having to intervene in the automation logic. Configuration and commissioning of the IoT interface is carried out quickly, easily and without programming via the integrated web server, enabling condition monitoring of up to ten cooling units in the master/slave network. For example, alarm and system messages and the indoor and ambient temperature of the control cabinet can be displayed.

Simplified licensing and global service

In addition to the cULus FTTA, CE and EAC certifications, the new cooling units also carry the cULus Listed seal of approval, which will make it much easier for machinery and equipment manufacturers to obtain approval from the UL (Underwriters Laboratories) in the US and Canada (Canadian Standards Association).
