Dutch partners show working machining factory of the future at EMO 2025

Staying competitive as a machining company requires continuous improvement and seamless process integration. A consortium of eleven leading technology companies, united by FPT, will demonstrate at EMO 2025 how the machining factory of the future is within reach.

Through smart integration of existing technologies, machining companies are incrementally building an autonomous, predictable and sustainable manufacturing environment that strengthens their competitiveness and measurably improves business results.

At the joint booth, visitors experience a fully functioning production environment with three essential elements:

1) Digital Work Preparation

Paperless work preparation where CAD/CAM, specialized ERP and production planning systems integrate seamlessly with central tool management. This eliminates errors, minimizes preparation time, optimizes production planning and ensures continuity.

2) Autonomous CNC production

High mix, low volume CNC production that continues autonomously 24/7. Made possible by an advanced and automated CNC machine park with innovative clamping technology and durable machine fluids. This maximizes machine utilization and increases production output and continuity.

3) Real-time Production Cockpit

Centralized dashboards provide complete transparency and control, while supply chain integration ensures a seamless flow of information between all involved departments, suppliers and customers. This provides real-time insight into machine status, energy consumption and product quality, allowing companies to make proactive adjustments before problems arise.

Measurable business benefits

This fully integrated production environment delivers immediate tangible results:

  • Production output increases due to minimal machine downtime
  • Reduce lead times by minimizing waiting times between process steps
  • CO₂ emissions fall through more efficient use of energy and materials
  • Comply with new regulations (PCF, e-invoicing, digital product passports)

In addition to these measurable benefits, an integrated manufacturing environment strengthens the organization by relieving the burden on subject matter experts. Routine tasks are automated, creating room for improvement and innovation - essential for a competitive and future-proof machining company.
