In early June, organized Wouters Cutting & Welding its Demo Days for the second time. The good from the first edition was retained: on Friday, customers were given a nice selection of machines from the range of Wouters Cutting & Welding in demo on display. New this year was the addition of an extra day especially for school students. An overwhelming success. The new generation's interest in state-of-the art cutting and joining technology was clearly piqued.
"We never get this many machines together on an exhibition floor," inside sales/marketing Savannah Geluykens points with a smile at the impressive machinery that is running. Immediately the reason why Wouters Cutting & Welding organizes a mini fair under its own roof in Turnhout. "Here we do have that technology available in operation. Laser, plasma and waterjet cutting, but also drilling and welding ... it is part of our permanent machinery, so we can show all the possibilities we have in house with the experts there. And that often makes the difference for customers. That they know how it works and exactly how their products will come off the machines." That strength in breadth is really a pillar within the company. "Every technology has its requirements. By offering the different cutting technologies, you can come to a solution tailored to your customer's requirements, materials and products."
In short interesting presentations, the Demo Days also allowed attendees to brush up on their knowledge about various aspects of technology and machines. The team of Wouters Cutting & Welding was not alone in doing so. The partners they work with also signed present. Geluykens: "For us it's all about service. We think along with our customers to provide them with solutions that really take their production further. It's not just about selling a machine. That is also the mentality of our partners: to go the extra mile, to go a bit further in customization, if necessary. By having them there at our Demo Days, you can start those conversations."
Wouters Cutting & Welding is also already thinking about the next generation. It therefore invited schools to its Demo Days this year. A call that was answered as far away as Holland. "There were about a hundred of them," Geluykens reckons. "They got to see our inspiring demos on the various machines just like the professional visitors on Friday. In addition, they also went to work themselves with a manual plasma cutter. Very nice to see so much enthusiasm," Geluykens concludes.
